EMH beginning 12/24

Did I read that morning EMH for resort guests begin on December 24 at 7:00 a.m. Is that correct? Has anyone ever gone that early? How were the crowds?

We've done it several times and the crowds have gotten larger each year. Usually all parks open an hour early for resort guests on Christmas Day. If you plan on getting rides done, you should go that early. If you want a laid-back type of day, I wouldn't get up that early.

When we were there in April the MK opened at 7 for EMH. We went twice during our stay and loved it! For the first 1/2 hour or so it seemed that we had the park to ourselves, we have pictures with no one else around. We were able to ride all the rides we wanted with no wait. The park got crowded after about two hours or so, but by then we had already done all the major rides and could just wander around and go on things if there were no lines, and use fastpasses to get on other things. If you can get yourselves up early enough to be at the park a bit before 7, I think it would be worth it.

If you are not there for EMH on Christmas Eve or Christmas, you will end up waiting in line for everything for quite awhile. We were at EMH in MK, on Christmas Day 2005, and rode Buzz, Space Mountain, Speedway, Dumbo, Pooh, Snow White, Peter Pan, and Haunted Mansion before 10:00 am. We had to leave the park by noon b/c it was so crowded by then we couldn't move.
