Is FastPass offered during the evening EMH? Is it possible to get FP early in the day to use during EMH? :cool1:

I don't KNOW the answer to this question, but here's a guess: if the regular park closing is at 9:00 p.m., then at 8:00 p.m. they won't be offering FastPasses for 10:00 p.m., because not everyone would be able to use it, KWIM?

Whether any given attraction will have FP during EMH totally depends on the ride managers for that EMH.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

IF the FP machines are operating during PM EMH, they "start again" at the beginning of the EMH.

we just returned from WDW today. we did late EMH at MK, MGM and Epcot. there were no FP kiosks open during EMH, and no attendants available to admit anyone to FP lines during the EMH. The idea is that the crowds will decrease and so you won't need a FP! actually, the crowds are only slightly less, so we did not think much of the late EMH idea. k

There have been many nights where FP machines WERE operating on certain popular rides (like Soarin' at Epcot).

With Disney, its safer not to assume that what happened on any given day will simply ALWAYS be the case every day.

Several PP's weighed in on your first question (and the answer seems to be "it depends"), but thought I'd take a shot at your second. While you cannot use a FP before its official start time, we've never had a problem using a FP many hours after its end time, including during evening EMH.

Having said that, I have heard rumors of people being turned away from the newest attractions (Soarin' and EE come to mind) if there are long lines and their FP's are long expired.

But, we'll still try to use my strategy of getting to the parks early with the kids while dh sleeps in, stocking up on FP's, and using them later after dh arrives. Like I said, I've never been turned away, and it can't hurt to try.

Using a FP from earlier in the day is quite possible.
The thing to remember is that if the ride (espeically during EMH) is not quite as busy as earlier in the day, there simply may be no FP "line" operating at this later time (so there are no CMs to take your FP at either end of the queue).
So just "having a FP" from earlier in the day may do you no good... you'd still just be put into the Standby line.

It depends. We have had EMH with and without FP.

I had an issue with them not re-opening the FP machines for Soarin' during EMH in December. The wait was 45 minutes. Guest Relations called the manager at The Land for me and he gave some BS about not opening them to be fair to everyone, blahblah. So I guess it's fair for everyone to waste 1/3 of their EMH waiting on line for Soarin'.

They didn't have FP open at the MK last week. I wanted to use the anywhere FP I got when the TTA broke down on Splash and she was like, "oh, you don't need that" and the wait was 30 minutes. I think I should've been allowed to use that FP, because it was from a ride breakdown.

Grr.

There were no FPs open during EMH when we were there last week. The waits were VERY long, too. :(
