We are going down to Florida in January, and would like to eat a late lunch at Emeril's, and tour CityWalk. Has anyone eaten there? What did you think? How expensive for lunch? How far ahead can you make reservations? Thanks, I would appreciate any input!

We ate at Emeril's when we were there in June. It was heaven!! We managed to walk in during lunch, we didn't have ressies, but I wouldn't try that at night. It was expensive but worth every single penny. You should definitely go there if you get the chance.

I guess i am not a Citywalk fan, what is there to tour?????

Loved it and will be going back! Try the lobster cheesecake if it is still an appetizer.

Bamm!

Hey!
I have eaten at Emeril's about 30 times since they opened. This restaurant is by far the 'best of the best' O-town has to offer. Lunch ends at 2:30 everyday. They will take a 3 or 4 month reservation. I recommend a res. even for lunch. They also have a dress code. I have dined in restaurants around the world, and Emeril's is the most wonderfully prepared and professionally served meal's I've ever eaten. Emeril's is also one of the most expensive restaurant's I've ever dined in. The money you spend though is nothing compared to the memories you'll savor!! Bon Apetit!!

Hi,
We went in for a late lunch, I think it was around 2:30. We didn't have ressies. They had room at the Chef's table. It was great!! One particular chef kept giving us things to try. Loved everything.
We all had steak. It was pricey but to die for!!!!!!!

I've said it b4, I'll say it again; Emeril Sky to drink, try the Salmon Pizza, have the rib-eye and end with the Banana Cream Pie! (Oh My!).

If you are feeling adventurous try the "Study of Duck".

My mother and I ate lunch at Emeril's last Dec. and it was wonderful. Waitstaff was very attentive and the food was excellent. We did have a reservation but it wasn't very crowded at that time (noon-ish). We had beverages, entrees and dessert, no appetizer or alcohol and the bill was around $65, including tax and tip. Definitely worth every penny. And I agree, the Banana Cream Pie is fabulous (and I don't like bananas that well).

You can tour Citywalk. There's a few shops, bars, a movie theater, and places to shake your bootie. I usually just walk through it as I head back to the parking lot.

As for Emeril's, a meal typcially costs around $30 per person, depending on what you drink and if you have desert. I couldn't fit desert into my stomach! :)

Apparently my husband and I went all out our meal was $135 for the two of us before tip. We did however have several drinks, appetizers and dessert. But it was worth it!

I tried about a month ago to get reservations at Emeril's for Friday October 12 - no luck.

Same thing happened to me last year when we went to Orlando - I called more than a month in advance, and couldn't get a reservation. You'd think I'd have learned this time around... we are so eager to eat at Emeril's - we loved the ones in Vegas and Nola.

Anyway, since it seems like many people have canceled previously scheduled trips to Orlando, maybe I can call the same day and get a reservation from a cancelation? Anyone had any luck with this? Any other suggestions? Maybe we can try for lunch - can you leave the park and return on the same ticket? We are staying at the HRH.

Thanks, my mouth is watering just thinking about maybe getting to eat here!!

(We are only in Orlando for two nights and we have PS for the California Grille at the Contemporary on Saturday night.)

Your best bet for Emrils is to show up near the end of lunch hours.

Back in August I called Emrils from my room and they said they couldn't take me, booked up. So we walked over there, 10 minutes later, and they had 3 empty tables and seated us immediately.

I don't know if they were no-shows or if Emrils try's to maintain some kind of image by telling people over the phone that they are full. In any case, just go down there during lunch hours and you should have some luck.

If all else fails, you can always eat at the bar. Same menu and everything.

What number do you call for a reservation? TIA

From the website:

For reservations, please call: 407-224-2424

We went last week, showed up at 11:30 - they said they were booked for dinner, but that they could seat us right away for lunch. We opted out of an early lunch. But they also said to call back at 3:15 to see if there were any cancellations. We called at 3:15, but couldn't get thru, so we walked over (we were at Universal). The maitre'd was very nice, and he called up to the reservations desk and checked, but according to him they were still booked. I think he felt bad for us because he remembered us from the morning. He did say to come back at night because the bar is first come, first serve. We passed up that idea also because we really wanted the full experience.

What we did do, however, was to go back around 10:30 for dessert only. At first the hostess told us we could only sit at the bar (which was still PACKED with dinner eaters) but then the maitre'd said we could grab one of the tables in the bar area (they were ALL empty). We split an order of bread pudding, and each ordered a glass of wine. Be aware, they have glasses available from the wine reserve list, and that's what we got when we ordered a glass of Merlot. A $12 glass of Merlot. Oh, well, we were just happy to sample some of Emeril's food. And next time we plan to go, we will make reservations as soon as our trip is discussed without waiting for the trip to be finalized!

would we be crazy to try to take our 3 dds to Emerils for lunch? we watch food network and our 2yo LOVES Emeril . Is there anything for kids on the menu? i know it is expensive, but i hear it is worth it.

We like Emeril's but, we love Tchoup Chop..Emeril's dream restaurant.

Even for lunch, Emeril's is pricey. Some things are good, some aren't..it is hit/miss there.

I have a reservation for the Tchoup Chop in May. My daughter wants to eat at Emeril's so bad. Did I make a reservation at the wrong one? I'm little confused on which is which and why there are two restauants. I hope I'm not going to disappoint her by reserving the wrong one for dinner. She just said Emeril's so thats the one I picked. Can anyone tell me the difference?

I'd also love to know if there is anything on the menu for kids as we have a six year old dd who will be dining with us.

Thanks in advance for the info.
