Resort wear is fine. DH can wear dockers and knit polo shirt and would be appropriately dressed. Suits are way too much. no one is dressed up that much. Women can wear sun dresses, pants outfits, dressy shorts. I would stay away from what you would wear in the parks, it's just too casual. No tank tops / muscle shirts.

Thanks so much, I do not have to worry about DH wearing a muscle shirt, he does not have any muscles LOL...thank god he does not read these boards.

I believe no sandals as well as no tank tops.

I wore sandals and felt perfectly comfortable. My sandals had little jewels on them. I wouldn't wear Teva Velcro Sandals but cute 'girlie' sandals are definitely appropriate. All these rules are subject to interpretation. I wore a sleeveless wrap shirt with a leopard print. Now is it a tank top because it is sleeveless? I don't think so. I wore strappy sandals with black pants. were sandals inappropriate? I don't think so because they were dressy sandals with little beads and a small heel.

If I wore cotton shorts, with a cotton tank and Teva Sandals I would say that is inappropriate. So take fabric and appearance into perspective. You don't need to wear panty hose and a Sunday dress. It is resort casual. Dress up something with a cool scarf or some neat jewelry.

Here is an example of appropriate sleeveless and sandals.

We're dining at Tchoup Chop our first night. Would Khaky pants, a hawain shirt and my leather sandals be okay??? or would I have to wear shoes?.. I hate shoes... and I always have on a hawian shirt and khaky's so that would be great...

the waiters are all wearing Hawaiin shirts at Tchoup Chop so I think you would be fine. I would shower and look fresh, but your outfit is just fine for Tchoup Chop

We had lunch at Tchoup Chop last weekend (it was awesome by the way) and there were all kinds of dress. All were fairly casual - there was even some people in t-shirts but I would be a bit dressier than that.

I wore a t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers and they let me in. Just don't look like a slob. I think they draw the line at flip flops and tank tops. Everything else is OK. I think even Tevas are OK since they are a higher class sandals.

I had reservations thee but after reading the boards I decided nt to even try it. I am on vacation and I dont like to worry what I am wearing to eat dinner so off we went to jimmy Buffets Margeritaville, LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT! we had the crab cakes and they were to die for, mostly crab and not much of a filler, I wish we had a buffets in MA:D
