Emerg. gullbladder surgery

There is such thing as trip health insurance, but generally unless you pay incredibly high premiums, they won't cover pre-existing conditions (post-surgery problems would be included in that).

Exactly - and they wont cover him for his pre-existing, atnd that owuld be pre existing, they would pay if he say broke his arm, but magically i am sure they would trace that back to his gulbladder lol

Wow, I'm genuinely shocked that some people had longer recoveries! My mom had hers out laproscopically about 15 years ago...required an overnight hospital stay then. She had the surgery in the afternoon, up and walking around that night. Released the next day around noon, and we went straight to WDW from the hospital! We were there for several hours, and Mom walked around just fine in the heat. She skipped the coasters, but did Splash Mountain.

We used to do the parks every weekend then, and by the next weekend Mom was entirely back to normal. She worked all week (on her feet, doing day treatment with mental health clients), and did all the coasters that Saturday. Absolutely no ill effects (other than some extreme burping for a couple of days lol), said she felt great since she no longer had the gall bladder attacks.

Funny how differently people react to the same procedure.
