Emerald Reserve vs Emerald Aisle??

I booked a full size car for our WDW trip 3/19 - 3/27. Emerald Aisle reservation wasn't available flying into Orlando Int'l, but Emerald Reserve was. In reading the difference on the National web site, doesn't seem to be much a difference.

Has anyone had any experiences ... positive or negative?

Emerald Reserve works the same way as Emerald Aisle, but the only cars you will find in the full size aisle will be full-size.

You used to be able to use EA for either a full-size or an intermediate reservation - but it switched to intermediate only about a year ago.

If they have any oddball cars, they often throw them onto the EA. Many people have gotten PT Cruisers, SUV's, even mini-vans on the EA, but currently, the only thing guaranteed is an intermediate.

I have gotten a full-sized vehicle on the EA every visit, but that has been the luck of the draw. There are times, when there are nothing but Grand Am sized vehicles.

If you need a full-sized - get a full sized from the Emerald Reserve!

We are doing the Emerald Reserve from MCO on our trip since I wanted to be guaranteed a full-sized car and I knew that was not possible with EA.

I will report back when we return. It sound pretty quick and painless...now we just have to see how it goes.

Emerald Reserve is every bit as convenient as Emerald Aisle - in fact I noticed absolutely no difference in service at all.

Used ER this past December because I definitely wanted a full size. As others have stated, the EA guarantees only an intermediate - if you find anything else on the EA, consider yourself lucky!
