Emerald Island vs other close communities

Based on your opinions & experiences, can anyone compare Emerald Island to other close communities: Indian Creek, Rolling Hills, and Windsor Palms.

We've been looking only at EI so far bc of a referral from a friend but have limited selection for our week. We've heard amazing things about EI but are wondering if we should open our search a little wider - so we are now open to other villa suggestions - but are only interested in those closest communities.

Here are some maps of the area you can see what is as close to EI that would suit your vaca needs. Not all the communities have the amenities as EI. Not all are gated, club houses, tennis court that sort. There are some great homes. I am of course partial to EI having a home there but there are some beautiful and fun homes all over the area.

In my experience if you want a truly nice resort then you need either EI or WP. Indiand Creek was nice but now there is a huge freeway going through it.
