Emerald Island - Tips

[Whisky In A VAse]

We are staying at Emerald Island (The Royal Emerald) in a couple of weeks.
Just wanted to see if you guys had any tips on what anything to do related to with this resort. We have previously stayed at Liki Tiki, Windsor Hills and onsite.

We arrive in the evening and DW and myself have always booked into villa and then leave parents to sort kids out while we go off to Walmart (on the 27) and do some shopping. Is this the closest supermarked open on a Saturday night at 9.30ish?

If you don't mind publix then this will be your best bet as it's about 2 mins down the road at the 192 junction

We stayed there in Feb. this year and did he same the first night. Publix is just down the road but we got there about 8.30pm and it shut at 9pm. Nearest Wal-Mart is to the end of the 192, turn right and it is up the 27, about 10 minutes away. Not sure of the opening hours for this, maybe says on their website?

a great ice cream shop next to the shops just round the corner too.

just before the turn offonto the road that takes you to the villa is a little supermarket and a outback reasturant and an icecream shop, ill ask hubby about it later but i know its open late as they were always going out for more beer...lol men!, literally 2 mins down the road, im hopeless with names so ill check what the shop was called with him, but it was very big had a gifty section and food section.

Publix is nice and local
We usual use Publix for 'top ups' and do a Walmart shop if it fits with the programme.
I'm considering Garden Grocer this time as I need lots of baby items and thought it might be nice to have it all delievered.

The taste of China chinese at the Formosa gardens Boulevard is quite nice
