Emerald Club EA questions

I am trying to determine if it is worth it for me to join the emerald club but I have many questions. We will be renting vehicles 4-5 times in the next year, we will always need either an SUV or a minivan. Are there discounts involved when joining this club? If not, why is it more advantageous than just doing the quick rent with national? THanks for any help!

There is a special contract code for EC members. Quick rent does not allow the use of coupons, Emerald Reserve does (only Intermediate rentals qualify for EA).
