Emerald Aisle vs. Emerald Reserve

Aisle - Reserve an intermediate. Pick any vechicle parked in the Emerald Aisle when you arrive. May get something larger/more deisrable than an intermediate for the same price. No guarantee you will get anythigng other than an internediate, but usually you get lucky.

Reserve - reserve size/class of vechicle you need. Pick from vehicles parked in the corresponding aisle. For example, reserve a minivan. Pick out the minivan you want from the minvan aisle. You get and pay for what you reserve - nothing more and nothing less.

You will get to pick from the Midsize SUV aisle. It will have Equinoxes (Equinoxi?) and possibly other similar sized SUV's. I haven't rented from that emerald reserve aisle recently, so I'm not sure what else might be there. There may be nothing other than the Equinox.

Emerald Aisle is where you usually find more variety. For example, if there are no more parking spaces in the midsize SUV Emerald Reserve aisle, they may park midsize SUVs in the Emerald Aisle. Then people who reserved an intermediate in the Emerald Aisle can take that SUV and still pay the intermediate price. Generally, if you rent Emerald Reserve, you get that kind of vehicle, I've never personally had a situation where there's an "upgrade" in an Emerald Reserve spot and I rent quite frequently.

So if I have a Chevy Equinox reserved, I wonder what other choices I might have?

We had an eqinox (or similar) reserved for the March 4-11. When we arrived there weren't any mid size suvs so they told us to take a full size. (Trailblazer)
