Emerald Aisle Advantages

I had signed up for National's Emerald Aisle. Then I was able to get a great deal booking a better car than an intermediate car. Can I still make use of the service...like going right to pick up a car? I didn't book through Em. Aisle, just regular reservation. Thanks! Hope my questions aren't too confusing!

To answer your question, you can reserve a different car class (other than intermediate) under Emeralds Reserve. This garuntees you to the car class that you reserved, but allows you to bypass the counter and select the car that you want. (i.e you reserve a minivan, go straight to the ilse and select a Chevrolet Uplander)

DisneyJosh is correct.

You can reserve any specific size car through Emerald Reserve but can not change the size of the car when you arrive at the aisle. It does permit you to bypass the checkin counter in the terminal.

With just a 'regular' reservation, you will have to wait in line, inside.

If I didn't reserve through Em. Aisle, can I call and get the "go right to your car" privilege or will I loose my original reservation and rate? Oh, this is just way more work than I should be thinking about!!!

If you booked as "quick rent" you can still skip the counter. You can't use a coupon with quick rent though. Everyone picks their car at National, counter or no counter.
