Embassy Vacation Resort At Grand Beach?

Hi- We are staying here for the 1st time in March. Is there any sections that are better than others to request (ie with views of the lake)? How is the pool? How is the lake? What water sports are offered? How is the fishing? Any other info or suggestions would be appreciated

I have the same question, we're staying here from the 5th of March to the 11th. We've already called down and asked for a non-smoking, lakeview. Hopefully that is all we'll need. It looks like a quiet resort and since we're staying at Summerbay the next week I think we'll need some peace. Have fun.

we have stayed there for about six weeks in total and love this resort!!

Last time we stayed was last May(or was it August? I think... so things may have changed a little.

The resort is really tiny... ask for a lake view and I am sure they will accomodate you if they can.. the fact it is small is one of the reasons we really like it.
it also has under building apartment which is great for keeping the sun out of the car!

the older 3 bedroom apartments are really big.. huge actually.. but last time we were there we thought they were looking that they might need a refurb within a year or two.. but they were clean and well maintained...and had everything you could imagine.
never been to the newer apartments so I cant really comment on them..

Didnt do many of the activities, but they have fishing, canoes, pedal boats etc also lots of kids activities around the pool each day (mostly afternoons)..
we love it.. would return in a flash!

Pool is small ish.. but fine (they have since built a new one, which opened the day after we left, so we never saw it. Also as soon as that one was open they were going to refurbish the existing pool, so I dont know what its like now.

Thanks for the info, we're really excited about our stay. We have asked for a lakeview and told no problem. The fact that it is a small resort appeals to us as well as the size of the units.
