Embassy Suites on International Drive?

Any comments about Embassy Suites on International Drive will be greatly appreciated. It will be for a family of 4 (me, DH, DD10, DD6). We have always stayed within WDW before and so not mind being "outside" this time. We are meeting up with a family of 5 + nanny and they would like a bigger space, so we'd like to make it easy for them. Besides, we get to enjoy a larger space for our family as well.

We stayed there for our first family trip in 2002. My wife and I were at a meeting so we needed to be close to the convention center. It was great! The nice big room was wonderful. One daughter had the pull out sofa bed, and our other daughter was not quite 2 at the time so she was in a pack n' play that fit right in the kitchenette space. The girls absolutely loved the big breakfast every morning too. We rented a van. So getting to the parks was pretty easy too. It was a nice hotel, and we would stay there again. Having space and breakfast were nice perks.

There are actually two on International Drive (although one is technically called Jamaican Court). I'm assuming that you're talking about the one that's called the Convention Center location.

We really liked it when we stayed there in 2000. We loved the breakfast, and the room was very comfortable. It has two pools - one indoor and one outdoor. (The Jamaican Court has an indoor/outdoor combo pool.)

We love the Embassy suites, we have stayed at two out of the three in the area, and they are all beautiful. If we dont stay on site, we usually stay at Embassy.

You cant go wrong, and they have a great breakfast in the morning.

Not to far from the parks either.
