Embassy Suites ~ Int'l. Drive/Conv. Ctr

Can anyone give me any specifics on this particular Embassy Suites?

For example, is there a good area to request a room.... for example to be near the pool(s).........

Or is there an area we do NOT want to be near?

Also, how was the shuttle to the parks? Any hints there?

Traveling with two teenagers the week after Easter and can't wait to get there!

We stayed at this Embassy Suites 2 days before checking into OKW at Xmas. In our opinion this is the worst Embassy Suites we have ever stayed at. The rooms were large and reasonalbly clean but very dark. Nothing worked right. Handles falling off the drawers and cabinets, TV's with no reception, etc. THe elevators were the slowest I have ever encountered. We tried taking the stairs, only to be deposited in some back loading dock. The staff was fine, not helpful but not rude either. The pool area was dirty, and did not seem very well maintained. The most awful part of theis hotel was the breakfast buffet. It truly was inedible. We are not picky people, but our 2nd morning there we would not even get cereal and juice. We love Embassy suite hotels and infact had just spent 6 weeks at the one in Palm Beach Gardens right before this stay (it was a moving thing). I usually avoid posting my personal opinions on these boards because everyones experiences can be diffrent. I truly hope things have improved for your stay and that your experienc is much more pleasent than ours.
