Does anyone have any experience with this property? How as thier shuttle service? Overall review of hotel?

Thanks in advance

I'd like to know this as well. I did a search and got some answers but, any current reviews would be nice.

I have only been to two emmbassy suites and they were great!!!! I don't stay at any other hotel now. I am spoiled lol

I love Embassy suites. I booked last Aug and we had a great time'
The Bfst is great, you can get in the quick line for the ready made scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes or you can get in the omlette line and get a made to order omlette. My favorite, tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese...YUM.
The 2 hour manager's happy hour is great too. We stopped at Walmart and bought cheese and crackers, ready sliced pepperoni and chips and had snacks with our drinks. They have pretzels and popcorn there and you can order a pizza or get some food but we only wanted snacks. The next night there were about 4 other groups that had the cheese and crackers because they saw us the night before.
They serve the drinks in these tiny 4 oz cups but you can get two at a time per person. If you drink beer you can buy the mug for about $10 and get it filled to the top each time but the mug is only for beer. I had a large cup that I bring with me on all trips and I just put my two little drinks into it.
We wound up having a big bfst, then had a small meal at about 1 or 2 then drove back to the hotel for the manager's happy hour. You can sit by the pool and have your drinks while the kids swim.
We then went back to the parks at about 8 to see the fireworks and do some more rides since the parks were open late during the time we were there.
I got a great rate in August of $79 per night on bookit.com. There were 4 5 of us so I am sure between the breakfasts and drinks they lost money on us.
I am looking to go back in Sept and right now the fee is $119 per night for the time I am thinking of going. I still would be ahead. Peggie

This is a big Pink hotel, and we stayed there on our honeymoon and it was beautiful..

Before we had a digital camera so I cant post any pix but you cant go wrong with this hotel.. We have also stayed at Embassy suites on I Drive but Buena Vista was much prettier,(newer i think)

The pool is beautiful and the service was great.

Hope this helps

We've stayed there twice with 2 kids and having the separate bedroom is great. The breakfast has enough variety to not get completely sick of it after a week and it saves a lot of money.

The kids enjoyed the pool, there's lots of restaurants, grocery store, drug store and a medical clinic nearby. Just across the freeway is the outlet mall as well.

We had a rental car both times so I can't comment on the shuttle, but you will probably be much better off with a rental car.

Have a good trip.

bumping as I see a lot of people talking about suite hotels and embassy suites is my all time FAV. With a free breakfast the size of a buffet style place, HUGE suites, little kitchen in the suite(fridge, microwave, sink, and counterspace, with utenzils upon request), free drinks at night (alchol and pop), free snacks at night(popcorn, snack mix, prezzels) and low cost, this is worth it.

I agree with everyone else! Embassy Suites is my favorite all-suite Chain. Plenty of room, clean and friendly. Good Breakfast. You can't really go wrong. Definitely go with the one in BV instead of I-drive. Closer to Disney and I think the decor is a bit nicer.

I will be staying at the Embassy Suites that is supposedly near Downtown Disney. Is this the Buena Vista one you are talking about?

I went to their website and didn't see anything about their free breakfast and happy hour. (I've stayed at other E.S.'s before and they've always had this so I was surprised to not read about it on their website.) So I assume this E.S. has it, too???

Is there any transportation between this E.S. and the theme parks? We will have a rental car but if parking is $9 a day, I'd rather take a shuttle.

How long (how many minutes) does it take to get from the E.S. to the entrances to the park, on average? 30 minutes? 10 minutes? An hour?

Thanks in advance!!!
JULIE

Going to WDW 4/1-4/8/2006

We have stayed at both LBV and I Drive, and I prefer the LBV. If I remember correctly it was only about a 10 min drive to WDW. We always rent a car, so I cant tell you about any shuttles.

Both have the buffet breakfast and happyhours. It is my fav hotel no matter where we go.

But we have kind of gotten spoiled by staying onsite.

Have a great trip.
