Any thoughts? We might change our reservation to stay here and it's considerably more expensive than what we already have reserved. It has great reviews on trip advisor but I need advice from the experts!

Thanks!!

I like it. If you consider that you get full cooked to order breakfast there, the price may not be much higher than what you would pay to stay somewhere else.

I have friends staying there right now, for the 3rd year in a row. They are a family of 6 so it gives them plenty of room and it saves them a bunch of money starting their day out with a good, big breakfast. They love it.

You can see pics in my review of this hotel in the link in my sig. We stayed there for a week several years ago and loved it. I just wish I could pick it up and move it closer to DLR. :)

We've stayed here and really enjoy it. The setup of the room makes the space roomy/comfortable and the breakfast and Manager's Reception are nice perks!:)

We love Embassy Suites! We stayed at the SOUTH location last April and found it wonderful. The breakfast is worth the extra cost in my opinion as we would normally be spending $50-60 a day for our family of 5 for breakfast at a restaurant or at the park ($$), we felt we were saving money each day.
Also, I think others have mentioned this in other posts, but you can grab some snacks to take with you that morning for the park - we brought little baggies of dry cereal for the kids, or donuts/danishes etc.

The rooms are nice and comfy, very spacious! The kids loved it!

I don't know for sure when they were last remodeled but our room last year felt like new. We were way up on one of the top floors, so the only thing I would recommend is ask for a lower level so you're not fighting your way on to the elevator for breakfast in the morning (unless you are leaving for the park early, then you should be fine with the morning breakfast rush - I think breakfast starts at 6am, if you head to breakfast an hour before it ENDS then it's a big rush!).

We used to always stay with them when we were kids (many many moons ago) and for my parents having 4 kids it was a budget way to go to Disneyland once a year.

For those who have stayed, would you mind sharing how much you paid per night? I think the cheapest I have seen has been $170 nt, which seems a little high for an Embassy Suites.

Thanks,

TC.

Two years ago we paid $150 a night. We looked online to get that price, I think through Travelocity. It may have gone up since then so $170 might be the best right now. This was in the summer, btw.

Thanks PinkBudgie. I forgot that the price varies by season. We are going mid-August.

We just got home after 6 nights at Embassy South. We loved it. Room was fine, and the breakfast was great. We were out early every day except today, so we never had a problem with the breakfast rush. We didn't have any problems with crowded elevators after closing out the parks either.

Just some notes on getting to Disneyland. We did three days at the parks. The first day, we parked at Mickey and Friends. I don't think we'll ever do that again. Getting back to the parking lot at the end of the night was horrendous. The second day we took the ART which was very easy and convenient. We got on the 6:30 shuttle going, and the last shuttle (12:30 am) coming back. The third day, we were meeting some family for lunch, so we wanted to drive to the parks. This time, we used the Toy Story lot and that was a hundred times better than M&F.
