I gotta tell you, I wouldn't roll my eyes or even encourage the eye rolling in my kids for the sake of making fun of another person's appearance or hobby. It's just a bad habit to encourage. It may not be your thing, you may not like the way it looks, but it's the guy's hobby. Live and let live.

This is what struck me here. If my kids who are now "young professionals" behaved in that manner about a family member I would not be extolling their virtues on a message board.

I don't care for body piercings but I do understand that as long as it is not by body that is being pierced it is not my business. I guess I don't understand why you feel that because you do not approve of the sport and how that sport shapes the body that your nephew is wrong? My cousin was a body builder many years ago and I will assure you that at 70 he has aged way better than most of the other male family members his age.

I have a cousin who feels compelled to share her opinion about other family members. No one wants to have a prolonged conversation with her because she finds no joy in any of our children's accomplishments if their accomplishments are not on the same page as the choices her children have made. It is sad really, even when she does not voice her opinion it is clear how she feels and I can tell you that my own children avoid her whenever it is polite to do so.

OP- which 1 do you want, the stripper/prostitute/heroin & crack junkie who lost custody of both of her kids, the child molester, the other heroin junkie, the racist uncles/grandfather, the drug dealer, the high school dropouts- yes there's more than 1, teen mothers/fathers who live off of their parents, grandparents and government, overly holier than thou religious aunts uncles and cousins, the atheist aunts uncles and cousins, the over weight uncle who collects disability, the anorexic cousin, the cousin with 4 baby daddies, the bar fly, and there are sooooo many more that I could list but I just wanted to give you a small sample!

Lets see how he did in college this semester-the ending of his 8th year in college/trade school/community college

Because all he posts on his Facepage is the daily "I'm spending x # of hours pumping iron at the Health Club & thanks to "Captain Nutrition" for all the nutrition suppliments

(Fall semester he dropped all but ONE course)

Exactly what I was going to post myself.

Seriously, why do you care this much? Why does this bother you or does it turn you on?

So he posts about his hobby. Big whoop. I post in threads about my hobbies and interests, not about the daily grind. And if the internet had been around back when I was in college using Cuneiform tablets, then there would have been very little about my class work and lots about my friends and disco night at the pub. And yet I managed to graduate out PBK. IOW -- don't get hurt getting off that high horse you're riding.

I really don't want to respond (and thus, keep this thread going), but I have to...I just have to. I think the OP loves the attention. Why the heck else would she keep bumping this up? So as hard as it is, the next time she does, we all need to walk away.....far away.

And as people have said....live & let live OP. There are far worse things in the world than a nephew/cousin/whatever posting pictures of himself & his fake tan. Move on & get a life.
