So anyone have any embarrassing tales to tell from the Parks? About themselves? Their kids? Others?

I'll go first :rotfl:

When we went to Disneyland last year, I went on Snow Whites Scary Adventure. Was with a friend but they didn't want to go on but I thought :confused3 why not, I'll do it.

Anyway, went on it alone and the car didn't have anyone else in it. Anyway, I don't know why but midway through the ride, I totally :scared1: I absolutely freaked. (I was 22 at the time, not a kid!) Not sure if it was the darkness or the smaller closed in space but I totally had a stress attack. I couldn't breath and I started to :sad1: I had really worked myself up and was still crying when the ride stopped. I was so embarressed. The CM's were so supportive. They helped me out of the ride, got me a drink and talked to me for ages. One of them asked about my day, what I'd done, what characters I'd met ect, who was my favourite (I told him Tigger and all the characters from Beauty and the Beast) and who my favourite Dwarf was (Dopey)

Once I had calmed down, he disappeared for a few minutes and came back with a Tigger toy and a smaller Dopey toy. It was so cute! He said it was so I wouldn't have a bad memory of the Snow White Ride! I  them and carried them around all day and they came with me on the plane back home! This was totally above and beyond but he really made me feel better (but I was still embarressed, 3 years olds were coming off the ride saying ""Can we go again?") :rotfl2:

Anyone else?

probably when i was selling Glow stuff right in front of the parade and everyone thought i was part of the parade and cheered me on.

When I was between 4-6 (I don't remember the exact age) I rode Star Tours for the first time... I got so scared halfway through the ride I started screaming "R2-D2 save us"... and I was crying cuz I was so scared... I didn't go on the ride again until I was like 10. LOL

When I was around 10 or 12, my dad was taking a photo of me and my mom with the Riverboat as the background. I backed up a little too far and one leg fell into the water between the dock & the boat. They quickly pulled me up before the boat rocked up against the dock. I could've lost a leg! :scared: Luckily, I was just embarrassed with a wet shoe.

That is so funny! I remember you mentioning that before. I laughed till I cried.

Haha Yeah If I were you I would started waving and cheering too just to play it up. Do a little dance perhaps :woohoo:

That would totally be cute. :thumbsup2

It reminds me of a parade I went to years ago here for Christmas. It was the first time we had a group similar to the Jammitors in Epcot. At first people didn't know why there were sanitation workers walking in the middle of the parade, everyone got really quiet... but then they took out drumsticks and started to beat on their trash cans. The crowd roared with laughter and cheers! It was GREAT!!!

I just got back from DLR this past weekend.

My most embarassing moment? Forgetting where Adventureland was in respect to New Orleans Square. :worried:

We were at DL last week and my DS12 walked my DD8 through Minnie's house.

My DD8 came out and calm as can be informed me that the back of Minnie's house smelled like horse ****. I almost died. I quickly followed up with a discussion of appropriate words for an 8 year old.

I don't understand it. My DH and I don't use language like this around the kids, but at least she used it in an appropriate context!:lmao:

I had a full blown panic attack right smack in the middle of the hub. I mean, I'm standing there 10 feet in front of Partners hyperventilating and blacking out.

Not my finest moment.

I was waiting in line for the Astro Orbitors and I was sitting along the railing where there is cement and grass. You're obviously not supposed to sit along the railing and this is why. Apparently the grass was wet (go Disney for taking care of their grass) which made the dirt around the grass into MUD. I guess I was having too good of a time to realize that I was sitting in a pile of mud?! So basically when I got off the ride it looked like I pooped my shorts and I didn't even know it.

The shorts were a very light baby blue color so it REALLY looked like I pooped my pants. (You can see in my pics in my avatar and signature that my shorts were really light). Thankfully someone told me and my Dad bought me a really cute (and expensive) pair of Roxy shorts from that store in Adventure Land.

So at least I got something out of it!

well i think its grate they gave you toys and im sorry you were scared. i might of been to im scared of things when im alone but when not alone im grate

I think i was so embaresed when in the wheel chir when in wdw. I hated the whispers and when ppl would see me stand up to get charcter pics or what not they would whisper about me (migth be my parinoia)
I hated being in that thing but my leg hurt so bad from the acdent at work.. Now i fill like i may need one agine off and on this trip..i hope not. I hope i can just make it with out one.
(my legs still mess up off and on when walk to much)

On our trip a few weeks ago my son threw up in the Indy line. He had just gotten off of Space, so I guess his stomach just was a bit off. Got in line for Indy and, projectile! Oh man how embarrassing! LOL THANKFULLY it was in the morning still and there wasn't much of a line at all. So no one behind them and the people in front were further up. I felt so bad for the poor CM that had to clean that up!

When walking to the bathroom we heard one guy say "Oh look that kid already threw up and it's not even 10 am!" LOL Poor kid, I had to run in and buy him a new shirt (this was our last day and we had the car packed up ready to go already!).

Beyond that, there was a time when I went with a group I belonged to. I was 15 years old, and the Wolf kept following me around the park! Would chase me around! LOL Very cute and funny but at 15 I was embarrassed!

Our youngest daughter has a very vivid imagination and after some well meaning website warned us Snow White might frighten little kidswe warned her it might be a bit spooky.

So she did the entire ride with her head buried in her jacket and refused to look up even once. The CM though it was very funny when we got off, persuaded her it wasn't at all bad and we went straight back on (there was no queue and we were the only people on the ride).

The ride the kids most looked forward to was Splash Mountain, but after the first drop they became a little scared, and when we did the second surprise one in the dark they freaked, knowing the big one was still to come. The eldest daughter stood up and tried to climb out of the ride onto one of the displays. I had to physically restrain her for the rest of the ride.

At the end of the big drop she screamed "daddy I don't want to do that again", which i have on video saved for her 21st!

Three years ago, dh and I took our then 4-year-old to DL/DCA. We went on that ride in DCA that's a wild mouse--can't think of the name of it. DH handed me his backpack and I didn't know what to do with my purse so I put it on top of the backpack on the floor of the car, figuring I could hang onto both. Wrong. My purse flew out of the car at the very top of the ride and they had to shut down the whole thing, one car at a time, so I could walk out and retrieve it from underneath. I didn't have the nerve to look at the loooooooong line of people who were no doubt glaring daggers at me. It stalled things for probably 15 minutes or so.

Fun thread topic!

When I went to Disneyland on a high school choir tour, my friend and I must have gotten some sort of food poisoning or stomach bug. On our way out of the park, she suddenly veered over to a tree and started puking. That was enough to send me over the edge and by the time we got to the parking lot I had to run and find some bushes and started puking myself. She quickly joined me and there we were, two teenage girls, puking in the bushes. Our chaperons stood by, turning green themselves. :scared: On succeeding trips, we would always pass by "Amber's tree" on main street and giggle. :rotfl:
