Embarkation / Port Canaveral procedure question

My parents will be dropping us off at the port for our cruise. With testing, and waiting, how does that work? Will we all go to the parking deck or will we get dropped and sent with bus riders to a holding area?

You have to pay before entering the parking deck. For the whole cruise. I am sure the cast members who look at your PAT form when you pull up to leave your luggage with a porter will direct you where to go.

So no going into the parking deck to wait on test results? That's what I'm trying to figure out. Will we wait for our results with them before dropping off luggage and such or will they be required to leave right away?

You go into the parking deck to test if you have paid for parking. I suspect you would be directed to the tents for testing.

The procedure would be for the cruisers and their luggage to be dropped off (the usual drop off area with the porters). Bye, bye, grandparents. You go to the tents and get tested, board the ship….

Are you trying to keep your luggage with you in case you test negative? And have your ride right there? Or just uncertain as to procedure?

You will need to be dropped off at the port and get tested in the tents.

We dropped of friends sailing DCL a few weeks ago. You pull up to the luggage drop area and porters take the bags while the passengers are directed over to the tents for testing. We hung around the port area (went to McDonalds) for a short while just in case they tested positive. Fortunately they didn't.
