typically not done since some of the real estate regulations don't allow them to correspond that way (doesn't get tracked).

DVC officially discourages it and most guides will not respond by email. If I email my guide, she calls. There are a handful that do respond by email but it's a risk they take much like participating on a BBS such as this would be.
