Email to Concierge for Booking Cabana, Activities, etc.

We're sailing Concierge for the first time in November and are coming up on the date we can send our email to Shoreside for booking activities (I believe). I know I've read about how this works on this board, but I couldn't seem to find a thread that really laid out tips, etc. Can anyone talk me through a bit on how this works and what tips you may have?

A couple of specific questions/things I want to confirm:
  • I can send the email to Shoreside at midnight (Eastern) 130 days out, correct? I know then it goes in a queue, so I won't know right away what gets booked.
  • How do I request a cabana on CC? Do I request a specific number? A location (Family vs. Serenity Beach)? Or just say I want one, and they'll find one for me?
  • How do I book onboard activities (like drink tastings) if I don't yet know when they're offered (or even what is offered)?
Any other tips/suggestions are appreciated, since this is our first time in Concierge, and want to do what we can to take advantage of all the perks!
 
You can email them ahead of time to find out the beverage schedule. That way when you submit your 130 day requests you know what time and date the sessions are.

If you have a specific cabana number you can request it at the 130 day mark. Otherwise just keep it simple and prioritize if you want the family cabana or the one for adults only.

Once you submit your requests they will email saying they received it. You won't know where your place is in the queque. A couple of days later someone will email you saying the submitted your requests and you can see it when pearl has their opening booking.

They will email you if something is not available and if you wanted to change/add something else.

We also request certain dining rotations (for example - we don't care for rapunzel's and prefer not to be there twice; we like animators so we would prefer not to be scheduled there on a night we are in palo or remy) and one specific seating location (for example, we'd like a window table at Lumiere's). Sometimes they have the rotations ahead of time - sometimes they don't. Regardless, you can ask for what you'd like and they will try to accommodate you. The shoreside service is wonderful - they are very helpful.

They can also book port adventures, if there are any you want.

Different people like different cabana numbers - some are closer to food/bathroom - some are further away from that but also further from the regular family beach. If you have a preference, you can search on here - lots of info on the cabana numbers. If you don't have a preference, you don't need to give a number.
 
Someone also told me that we can request certain drinks to be stocked in our room refrigerator (I prefer sparkling water and don’t like diet drinks, for example) and child sized robes if you have kids with you. This is also my first time traveling concierge so I asked around a lot as well.
On my 130 day point I had my letter all written to shoreside and prepped so I just had to hit send as soon as the clock said it was midnight. Seemed to work, since I gave them a preferred range of cannas from 2-6 and they gave me number 3. I asked for the tasting schedule the day before, as well as the dining rotation schedule. They emailed that so I was able to use that for requests. I asked for tastings, Palo brunch and dinner, port excursions and a cabana and got everything I asked for! It seems to be a pretty simple system…just tell them what you want and they will do their best. Check back at the 120 day point on the app under your plans and you will be able to see what you got.
