email on DVC acct vs email on MDE acct

our DVC account has the email address of our 'family' email but we all have individual emails as well.
I actually have 2 MDE accounts - one under family and one under my individual email.
I don't really know why I have 2.
But, should MDE use the same as the DVC reservation or should I use my individual email?
Any benefits to one vs the other?

Ive had issues with not having it all under one email. Once I could not link my Aulani reservation in the app, the online series helped me and I thought it was resolved but then in CA I could not use the digital room key. Both Aulani and DL use the same MDE which is not the same as FL.

I discussed this with member services last week and they recommended we change our family email account which was on our DVC to our individual email accounts that are on MDE to avoid issues. I was able to update it seamlessly over the phone with them. Hope this info is helpful.
