Email I sent to Disney

Well, I heard back from Disney this weekend, in the form of a phone call. Very nice CM from guest services. We spoke for a good 30 minutes. Not sure what will come from it of course, but she seemed to genuinely understand that I was coming from a place of great love and respect for both the resort and the company. She said what we all know. The company is well aware that the majority of people don't like the current state of FP+ and they are getting more feedback than they ever thought they would. She also reminded me everything is still testing and odds are good that tiering will not remain as it does now, and that it is very possible all parks (but most importantly, MK) will get more than 3 FP per day.

She did state that they believe guests wants to plan their vacations out the way they're being forced to, and I disagreed saying the only reason people are doing it is because they have no choice.

Overall, it was a pleasant conversation. Let's just hope Disney truly is listening to us.

I really do think they are missing the mark on this. People WILL plan out their vacations if they have to. That doesn't mean they prefer it that way.

I'm glad you at least heard from them.

Thanks for posting this update. I'm sure "Trollzer" will be along any minute to reprimand you for misquoting the CM you spoke with and argue the meaning of "majority" and "current state"....because we all know it's just a tiny group of DIS posters who have a cagey plan to overthrow FP+ by spreading lies and rumors, right? :)

I'm glad to hear that Disney is getting feedback and paying attention.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear Disney is at least attempting to listen to feedback.

Good to hear you got a response back and hopefully the stuff about getting rid of tiering and more than three will be in the final product :)

Thank you for the report, I'm glad to hear they responded to you with a phone call. I wish the mods wouldn't move your posts on this subject to this alphabet game subforum, anything interesting that gets moved here falls down quickly below all these couples shower activities faster than the people interested in it can find it.

I think that's a grave mistake on Disney's part, and it's the central cog in their plan to generate money from this system. I don't recall, was there a direct question in their surveys asking guests if they preferred planning vacation agendas ahead of time? One that wasn't a leading question, already presuming it to be preferred?

I also sent an email about 2 weeks ago regarding our problems on our October trip. Still haven't heard anything back from them. They may have a huge pile of emails to address.

I finally received a call from Disney today. The woman was very understanding about the frustration/problems we had with MB and FP+. She offered us 5 - 2 day hoppers for all the issues we encountered. She said that they honestly didn't know what the future held for FP+ and what the final product would be.

Thanks for the update SOA. I hope they take these things seriously.

Lugnut....you also wrote a great letter. If we all just accept things then there is no possibility of revising the system.

Good job to everyone who sent a letter of concern.:thumbsup2

Also, when you're providing feedback to Guest Relations, don't say you aren't going to come back to Disney. They won't take you seriously.

Those like myself will come back to WDW when the new system is finalized and if the finalized system is a value for my vacation dollars. With the old FP system, I could hit multiple parks, and using FP the way fellow DISer's explained to me on this board, enjoy many, many attractions. I maximized my vacation dollars. IF I believe I will continue to get that value, I will return. The system as it is set now wastes my vacation dollars and time. In the future, we on this board could make the new FP+ system work for that maximization.

Until then, I will take my vacation dollars some where other than WDW. Yes, I may spend the money on DLR, so Disney may still get my money, just from a different park.
