That's the one. They're usually pretty prompt and helpful. If you don't get a quick email response, expect a phone call 3-5 days later.

Thanks I had emailed before many times for compliments too, just could not find the email i used.
It is nothing big just something for them to maybe make sure does not happen again!
We were at the studios, first time we all went! We had done tsm then got in line for Buzz and Woody. The kids were soooooo excited.
well buzz was either goofing or not watching and as my sons said he stomped on his foot hard and on purpose!
he came running to me in tears... real ones and holding his foot hopping. He refused to go near them for his pictures.
Now the cm with the characters was nice enough to tell me he could come back anytimg just nock on the door and he could go right in.
But my son wanted nothing to do with them, in fact it ruined the whole day.
I am sure some of you can relate to those days when one thing catapolts the rest of the day to do a downward spiral?
so we ended up leaving after only a few hours.
It made me sad since this was our only studios day planned and how excited he was to meet them

And how/what exactly is Disney supposed to do about this? Is their simple I'm sorry, it won't happen again be good enough for you??...because I'm sure the CM on site did just that.

I'm sorry this happened to your son...
I am pretty sure that it wasn't done on purpose...perhaps Buzz was trying to communicate some idea by stomping his feet up and down...I am quite sure he would not intentionally stomp on a child's foot! I hope you can convince your son that it was an accident - it would be terrible for him to be afriad of Buzz Lightyear!

This is the stuff that has to stop. The OP wants to complain and they are 100% allowed to do that. Why does every person feel the need to come on here and say - oh that didn’t happen. Yesterday I said my kids were scared of the headless horseman at MNSSHP and I was met with being called a troll. The OP didn’t ask for a lecture just the email address.

Thank you! I was not trying to say Disney was doing anything. But just to maybe have the character be more aware of little feet. if it was hard enough to hurt his foot whether on purpose or not i do not want another little kids who idiolized buzz to leave as my son did.
I am not asking them for anything my god no wonder so many people are nervous to ask questions and write stuff

And she was given the address....complain to Disney for the NON-Issue that this is.

It seems like a mixed message when you say that Buzz was either goofing or not looking, and then say that he did it on purpose.

I don't know what preceeded the accident, but I am sure that characters, and their CM handlers are trained on how to operate in their costumes without injuring guests, especially small ones. However unexpected things can happen from both CM and guest.

Since A CM was aware of this situation and offered to help make this situation less traumatic for you what are you hoping to change by notyfying Disney?

Donkey - I was in no way saying it didn't happen or that OP shouldn't let WDW know...
I just wanted to say that I hope she can convice her son that Buzz Lightyear did not intentionally hurt him..
Geesh!

You are right, they are 100% allowed to complain. And when they described the situation on this forum, the members of this forum are 100% allowed to comment on what little sense it makes to complain to WDW about something that was obviously an accident. I mean, what does the OP expect WDW to do-tell the Buzz CM, "Next time, watch where you put your foot!?" We've ALL accidentally stepped on people on accident. It's unfortunate that it made the child scared, but not anyone's fault. It's just life.

I agree. and it just shows how many many complaints a day Disney gets and how small things have to be to have people complain. So Disney says OK characters stand completely still so no one gets stepped on, hit, or bumped. Then they will get the complaints that the characters didn't interact!!!! They can't win.

I think OP has every right to complain to WDW, BUT needs to know what really happened. There is a dig difference between:
1. Goofing off
2. Not paying attention
3. On Purpose

What was Buzz actually doing when he stepped on your sons foot? Did you see it happen? I'm not being argumentative, but it would be a lot more helpful to WDW if you know what actually happened. If a CM stomped on a childs foot on purpose, he should be fired. If he was goofing off, he should be reminded or maybe reprimanded. If he wasn't paying attention, it might be totally innocent...I know I've stepped on lots of feet, including DSs...hurts him and breaks my heart but I certainly didn't mean to.

It is not our business what happened or if the OP gets a 7 week all expense vacation from it. No where did the OP ask our opinion if she should complain. Let Disney handle it. OP your question has been answered. Mods please close this thread.

:sad2::sad2:
she was given the address...then she offered her story of what happened - no one even asked her.
And most of the replies are in the vain of "sorry for you son...I'm sure it was an acident....try to find out exactly what happened so you can give WDW a useful complaint, etc..."
You're the only one getting upset over this thread. The OP is not being attacked...no on is suggesting she's looking for a free weeks vacation...
She could have just asked for the e-mail for comments to WDW and left it at that...she chose to elaborate...so people are commenting...it's really a non issue..why are you making it one?

Actually, to Disney this is not a NON-issue. Their Safety mantra is "No One Gets Hurt", and that goes for our Guests as well.

If Buzz accidentally stepped on a child's foot hard enough to make that child cry, then the character department will pass that information on to remind the characters to be more aware of what is around them. New characters don't always have a grasp on their "turning radius", so to speak, and older characters sometimes forget how much space they take up. It's always a good reminder and never seen as a non-issue.

If Buzz -- for some reason -- stomped on the kid's foot on purpose, that is also unacceptable and needs to be dealt with.

CTmommyx3 mentioned it when it happened, and the immediate character group was likely reminded by the handler to (literally) "watch their step", but it may or may not have made it into the daily log book. There is no harm to having her relate the experience and send it to Disney as well.

What's the matter TD? Your hyperbole yesterday wasn't near as grumpy. You usually like a challenge to see how long you can get people going before they close the thread. You went straight for it today. Maybe we could send you a homemade card to cheer you up. ;)

Thanks OP for the original question. It is helpful. I did have a compliment to pass on and wasn't sure what the email address was. It saves me from looking it up. I'm sorry about your son. I can certainly understand your disappointment.
