email code recipients

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry if this has been asked, but...

Those of you who have received email codes...do you have dates in common? What I mean is...did all of you who received codes get them all on Mondays??? or the first of the month, etc.?

Is there some pattern as to when they go out so that we can be even more diligent in watching for them? Are there any other commonalities that you have?

Thanks, Mississippian, for showing us your offer. I got a thrill just reading yours (but I'm still hoping for my own! Ha!)

Sadly I didn't receive an email code, but when I saw your username, I wanted to say :wave2: since we seem to share a love of Disney and LSU (not necessarily in that order ;) )

Hey Fightin' Tigers!

We're in central Louisiana. Have season tickets to LSU....need season tickets to Disney!

When is your next trip? We're scheduled for early June.

I'm hoping for a Universal trip in the fall with a day at Disney. We just got back from WDW in December and had been in April 2004 also. I want to go back to Universal since we only spent 1 day there last April but had a blast. I'm looking into the DCL for Mardi Gras of 2006.

We have season tickets too ( I'm assuming you mean football) where do you sit? We're in the southwest corner. Can't wait to go back in the fall and see the new stadium. Not to sure about Miles, though. Still  over Saban.

I don't know if there is a pattern. I had never received an e-mail code until last November. Than I have received two different e-mails in 3 months. Strangely, although the e-mail design was different, they were basicly the same code. One e-mail featured the prices for the moderates, one for the value resorts. Go figure. Registration on disneyworld.com is mandatory, I figure. They will ask you how soon you are planning to visit. Maybe this has something to do with it. Maybe not.

Hi there! I'm an ex-CM - worked in Marketing. I wanted to let you know that there is absolutely no rhyme or reason as to when the codes will go out...and who gets them is totally random and kicked out by a computer.

PamNC

No info on codes, just wanted to say HI to fellow Louisianians. :D

DH got the resort e-mail the other day and yesterday I got an e-mail for the Disney Cruise Line. Something along the lines of $50.00 per stateroom to use however I'd like, shopping etc... We have never been on or booked a Disney cruise although we'd love to. I did however order the free cruise video from the Disney site about a year ago.

pamNC... were you at pop century during hurricane frances? i met a woman in the laundry room who was a former cm/marketing... just curious if it was you?!

I was at POP for all of the hurricanes and met awesome ladies from NY....! Just had to add that! They were so sweet!

The only advice I can give is to be sure NOT to delete anything you receive from "Your Disney Travel Planner" or disneyworld@vacation.disneyworld.com. :earboy2:

Miles has the tendency to talk a lot, and make interesting statements at times ("Let 'er rip!" comes to mind  ). But, his teams did beat OU two years in a row, and his statements were usually directed towards our team, so, of course, as OU fans, we're a just a bit biased against him. The OSU fans, however, absolutely loved him (that is, until he left!!!!!!!!!). Good luck next season!

That's good to know. I loved Saban as a coach and the way he directed his team. He did so much for the athletic program and academics for student athletes on top of building a winning program. We all knew this time would come, but it's hard to see him go. I hope Miles does a great job, and I'm anxious to see what happens. I hope he's able to get some recruits back that bailed out when Saban left.
Hehe, I was actually hoping LSU would court YOUR coach!! I love Stoops.

So do we!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: Isn't college football great? I'm so sad it's over (esp. since our season didn't end the way we had hoped! ). And of course, how much fun is it to talk about it on the DIS boards? Our two favorite things in one place! (see my tag!)

Sorry for hijacking your thread, LSUdis! I hope some pixie dust comes your way and you get an e-mail code!

hey, princess... i was the one who's dryer never dried the clothes! LOL! all the ladies i met were great also... one lady was giving away bounce sheets, i was giving away detergent tabs, everyone was sharing change since the machine was out of coins (what else is there to do during a hurricane? LAUNDRY! LOL!)... it was a fun way to make the best of a not so great situation :)

Hi, just another Louisianaian and LSU fan as well. Wanted to say hi and that I'm going to miss Saban too (Miami should win the Superbowl next year or the one after that). I go to a few of the games during the year but we're in the upper decks (once or twice we were so high up a plane nearly took us for a ride, hehe). Always glad to hear from another Disney/LSU fan.

As for email codes well I've been signed up on the Disney site and haven't officially gotten one yet. However, last Sept. 2004, I happened to call Disney to get a quote for a room price (I saw many others at that time that had gotten codes and posted here on the Dis) and it turns out there was one in my file even though I never actually received one via email (CM confirmed my email address as well). Anyway I got a good price for a moderate ($88 including tax for Nov. 2004). So if plenty of people are getting email codes and posting here, I would call Disney to see if they have anything in your file as it certainly can't hurt. I've also heard some stories that people who have ordered the vacation planning video have received discount codes a few weeks later so you may want to consider that as well.

 LOL-Yes, Miami should be heading to the Superbowl soon!!
Gosh, next summer we should start a Disney/LSU meet/tailgate.
There is also a way to check for offers online. I don't remember exactly how I came across it, but I think it's in the profile. Sadly, there was nothing for me there :(.

I would second that, because that happened to us as well. We called in Dec. for our May vacation, and wanted to book a AAA rate. We already had a quote of $120 a night at POFQ for AAA, but the first CM we talked to when we were ready to book said all she had was $140 a night. So, we hung up and called right back. The next CM we talked to went over our entire profile with my DH (the first CM did not do that), and after she verified everything she offered us $79 a night! There was no mention of a code or anything; we thought we won the Disney lottery! Then later that week, a thread started about a e-mail code with a pin, so we called to double check that we didn't need a pin upon check-in. They said no, that the code was attached to our profile, and we were fine. So, I would advise calling to ask if you have a discount attached to your profile; it can't hurt, and the worst they can say is no! (Of course, that is pretty disappointing, but you'll never know unless you try!)

Geaux Tigahs!!!!!

Just wanted to chime in from Southeast Louisiana (just north of Grand Isle).

We went to Disney in May 2004....and, we are hooked.

We are headed back there again from June 10th thru June 18th.

I don't think there is any rhyme or reason to the codes....but, I have noticed somewhat of a pattern with the actual prices over the past few years.

Now, this is not scientific....but, from what I can remember reading....it seems like most of these e-mail code rates end up being the same as the AP Rate.

Like someone posted that they received the e-mail code for $74 for a value resort from Feb 05 to Apr 05 and $59 for a value from May 05 to July 05.

Well...looking at the AP codes that are already out....$74 is the AP rate at a value from Feb 05 to Apr 05. I seem to remember the same thing happening last year.

Of course, this doesn't help to figure out who gets the code and who doesn't....but, I think it shows what the upcoming AP rate will probably be.

Many people are waiting for the next code to come out for the end of April 05 thru the beginning of July 05. They are anxious to see what the prices will be. I think we could probably figure out what the prices will be just from the e-mail codes.

I have a hunch that the AP discount price on the values for this time (Apr 05 - July 4th, 2005) will be $59.

Here are some other prices reported by posters. They all received this same e-mail for the value resort, but called and received a discount on other resorts:

Moderate - $88 after tax which translates to about $79...booked for June.

Contemporary - $160 after tax which translates to about $144....booked for June.

AKL (Savannah View) - $185 after tax which translates to about $166...booked for June.

Another poster posted that they called with the same code and received this info:

CBR - $79 plus tax
AKL Savannah View - $166 plus tax
Beach Club - $219 plus tax

I have a hunch that these will be the prices for the AP discounts for late April 05 to July 4th, 2005.....

speed :teleport:

Just another Tiger fan here !!! Haven't been to Disney since May 03, we're planning another trip for Nov or Dec 06, I CAN'T wait.

Yes, my son LOVES the Tigerland Marching Band, & me too !!! We were @ LSU last summer for the LSU Winds Chamber Honor Band Camp in June 04, and hoping to be there again this year. Wonderful Music School !!!
DS has the LSU Tigerland Marching Band CD & plays it all of the time. Also, wish Saban hadn't left but hopefully Miles will keep the guys on the board.

I received an e-mail last fall, but not since but we weren't able to go to Disney at the time we received the codes. I sure wish I could go now, our Disney Store up here in Shreveport was shut down in 2003 so, the only way for me to get my Disney Fix is to come on these boards & read & get tips from everyone. Everyone is GREAT !!!!!

Hope you get the codes you are looking for !!! :wizard:
