It would be easier for me to contact my guide via email. However, I do not have her email address. My guide is Linda Smit. I suspect her email address would be Linda.Smit@disney.com. Would I be correct?

Thank You.

That should be correct. If it bounces call the office, they will give it to you.

Thank you fellow BCV'er. I see you added on @ AKV. That is what I am considering right now. More points @ BCV or add-on @ AKV. Tough call. As you know, BCV is definitely in the middle of everything. What was the deciding factor for you?

Incentives, new resort, and we wanted some small contracts. If we decide latter that AKL isn't for us it will be easy to unload. :cool1:

I believe my guide told me they do not have email access. I think it has something to do with timeshare sales rules. Not sure, but I'm quite sure they do NOT have email access.

How nice would it be to contact your guide via e-mail. I often wish I could but never got the chance to find out if you can or not.

Does anyone know for sure?

I'm tired of leaving voicemails for my guide. Email would be great! I wonder why they wouldn't have email access?

I have swapped emails with mine. I did read somewhere that emails are kept at a minimum because they leave a paper trail that could be legally binding. :badpc:

Yup. That's why DVC doesn't publish email addresses. Even if the guide does receive the message, most of the time they will not reply via email if the message is sales-related or has ANYTHING to do with DVC.

And since DVC de-emphasizes email on an institutional level, you'll have different levels of success in reaching individual people via email. In other words, some people check their messages a lot more frequently than others.

You can definatley contact your guide by email. name.surname@disney.com.

They do not usually reply by email if your questions is DVC related - they will usually call you back but mine has always acknowledged with a call within a day or 2.

I have had an email response when it was just a simple question.

Very different experience here...I'm an email person and do almost all my communication thru email...my guide (who uses his middle initial in his email address, so it's Name.I.Name@disney.com) is perfectly fine about emailing w/me...did an add-on last Jan which I initiated thru email and would have completed thru email, too, except I didn't want to send my credit card # via email so instead we arranged a time to transfer the card number by phone...

Only once has he not responded to an email...I suspect that email got lost since it's so out-of-character for him to not respond.

Maybe the difference is that I told him upfront that to communicate w/me would require use of email...if I had to do what I have to do solely by phone, I may not have purchased DVC...for me, pure phone contact is a big hassle (consequently, I use the website to email in my reservation requests 90% of the time...of course, 90% of the time we're traveling at low-DVC-use times, and I'm planning at 11 or 7 months out, so it's not a problem...for T-giving, I do call)...

Email works.

I emailed my guide, regarding inventories and a potential add-on, on 6/11 @ 8:23pm. She called today @ 9:03am. She took 6/12 off. So, she apologized for not calling sooner. She better not take another day any time soon.

She also followed up with an email.

I emailed our guide in the past but just a few weeks ago we added on and he told my fiance that he can't use email. Maybe they are getting tough with the rules?
