How do I email member services directly? I want to email them from my computer so that I can include pictures of my recent room condition. SSR..... not a great experience :(. Picture below was of our "Welcome Home" doorstep. I cannot believe they allow housekeeping to put dirty trash and dirty linens out in the hallways for hours on end for guests to walk by and have to stare at. It's disgusting. In this case...they did'n't even remove it before we checked in!

Are you sure it was House keeping not the people in that unit?

It was all up and down the hallway each and every day. If it was the people in the units then I must have been in a frat house :). I can't believe this passes any type of health inspections.

For that type of issue I would contact member satisfaction not MS.

What did housekeeping and front desk management say?

SSR is known for leaving bags and trash sitting in the hallways.

They came and fixed the broken light bulb in the kitchenette. No apologies for the trash or dirty laundry. No call from manager at all for a follow up.

Based on the picture, housekeeping left the items. The issue is that the room cleaning CM doesn't take the bags, trash or linen basket, They are placed outside the room pre-clean and picked up after clean buy other CM's and they often miss. Housekeeping and maintenance CM's ignore the items because it isn't their job to remove them.

You should have called housekeeping and if no joy, the front desk.

It is the worse process of all Disney resorts. Why is SSR different?

SSR and OKW are condo style resorts with exterior hallways is my guess. SSR and OKW are DVC resorts where the others are Disney resorts with some DVC rooms. Different policies, different management.

At SSR we once saw a fabric arm chair that someone had moved to the patio from their room. It sat there for several days through the rain and we could not get anyone to pick it up. After making several calls to different people we gave up.

I heard back from Member Services. I don't know if it was accurate (and truly I found this hard to believe) but they said that the resort GM was unaware of the housekeeping practices. I understand OKW....they can't use the carts because there are no elevators in majority of buildings and limited number of units on each floor. SSR is not that way. To walk down an entire hallway lined with trash and dirty laundry..... not for me. They were disgusted with my photos. I guess we will see?

Not aware is the canned answer that we have been given for problems or issues over the years. If the GM truly didn't know, they need a new GM.

That is a lame answer IMO. The GM of the hotel should know all practices of the different departments under his/her command.

I have to admit, I don't really understand the basket outside the room. I have seen so many guests raid another rooms basket so they get clean towels on a none cleaning day. SSR especially should be using the carts that are closed up when the CM is not present, there is an elevator in each building. And they should have dirty laundry placed in a cart. And the trash and recycle should be placed in the trash room before the maid departs the area or placed on a cart.

One practice that has always surprised me at Disney is that the maids at many of the DVC resorts, do not remove the carts from the area when they are finished. And no one picks up the carts until the end of the day. It makes the halls so cluttered and unattractive as they are always there. And sometimes they really make the hallways narrow.
