Elsa Costume

What store(s) in the Magic Kingdom would be a good place to look for the Elsa dresses? My neice will be there this week with her two little girls. Thanks!

Got my cancelation e-mail as well. It was my fourth time trying to get it.

So my wife spoke to JCP customer service today. A few points:

  • the manufacturer isn't sending any more dresses, that's why they canceled the orders
  • customer service rep doesn't think they'll get anymore - their system shows the item "discontinued"
  • customer service rep called 15 stores for my wife, but could not locate any dresses

We saw a few at The Emporium and Castle Couture a couple weeks ago. However, they only had XXS and XS.

Was there yesterday (at MK) and no where had any Elsa or Anna in stock (I checked Emporium and Castle Couture.) A few weeks ago Emporium had some Elsas, Castle Couture did not. I heard Puffin's Roost (?) the shop right next to where the girl's are currently meeting in Norway (in Epcot) takes precedence in getting the dresses when they are in stock. So that would be the best place to check. Then call the BBB and see if they have any they can sell to you. However, whenever they come in stock, they fly out the door just as fast.

Apparently JC Penney stores got quite a few of them in stores. All were sold out in my area but was able to find one about 3 hrs from me. They are going to ship it to me for a $10 fee. Go to the JCP website and search using the product code RN370-7016 and pick your size. It will show as sold out, but you can look for it in a store. Several stores that showed stock were actually sold out, but I finally found one. I would prefer the Disney Store version, but I'll take what I can get for now. My DD will not know the difference.

Disney Store dress was $49. Disney Parks dress was $69 (i'm pretty sure).

Disney parks dresses are $69 but you can use your AP or DVC card for a discount. The Elsa dress we found at WOD in DTD at DLR are the summer version so it's shorter. Still kinda want the long Disney store version but I guess getting lucky online would be the only way!

Thanks a bunch!

I ended up ordering the Disney store dress off of eBay because we leave in a few weeks, and I can't see Disney stores (or the parks or JCP) getting these in stock in time for the trip. I am very sad that I had to resort to eBay, but I also didn't want to disappoint my older daughter who has been so,so patient about getting this dress for the last 4.5 months since the movie release. When all of the dress frenzy was going on in January, I felt certain that we would have no problem finding the dress for our early May trip, over 4 months away. Well, here we are...In any case, the dress is so stunning! I was agonizing over the sizing, since we had never even seen one in person in any size to try on. Her other Disney store 7/8 dresses still fit but are getting a bit short. I went with the 9/10 and it is great, not huge but some room to grow. She is about 53" tall and about 58 lbs. It is a little big in the shoulders, but is ok. The lenghth is to the ankle but not dragging the floor, even in bare feet. I hope you all find the dresses you are looking for!! I am just relieved not to have to get up at 2AM anymore, not to call 5 Disney stores (hi to CM Jeff at the Dallas Disney store, you were so nice every day telling me "no" but have a magical day!) on my way to work every day, etc!!

Has anyone seen the Elsa dresses at Toys R Us? If so, how do they compare in quality/authenticity to the Disney Store dresses?
They are not even close to the same quality and authenticity as the Disney store costumes. We had both- first of all the sizing is 4-6x, which is a huge range. My daughter refused to wear the toys r us costume because it doesn't have a cape, and even at age 3 she could tell it wasn't the same exact color as Elsa's dress. I just sold it on a Facebook disney costume group. So now she wears her precious Disney store costume everyday and I silently pray it stays in good shape for Halloween and our December Disney trip.

I actually saw this one yesterday. DD5 even remarked on how scratchy and cheaply made it was. She was not interested in it and she loves Elsa. (She already has a Disney Store Anna dress and I made her an Elsa cape from directions I found on-line.)
