Elsa and Anna meet & greet: how long did you wait in line?

Yikes.
I just thought I'd take a look and there was an 8am slot on our last full day there - I took it  I kept telling myself I can ditch it if needed! :haha:

So, what do I need to think of now? What time should we arrive? Will we stand a chance of being seated before 8?

Most importantly - Will this spoil our meal? I now need to get rid of our Akershus dinner to make way for this one. We do really want to meet Anna and Elsa, but I don't want a wasted meal experience either, because we are hurrying through it to get in a line.

I'm not sure you will have to go line up much before 8:45 if it isn't a MagicHour day. So that gives you 45 mins to be seated eat some food then one adult heads out to hold your spot while others finish breakfast. I'd think you would have until At least 9:15 to finish up and join your person in line. At least that is what we are planning to do!!

If I get a 8:20am. Do I have enough time to eat then get in line or would I have to skip the meal?

For mine, I'm banking on "yes, but not much, and try to get seated early," but I don't know - it'll depend on how long the pre-breakfast pix and things take.

Thanks, this is exactly what I was hoping to do. I don't think my husband will mind leaving me to clear up after five children *too* much ;)

Has anyone tried to meet anna and elsa in the afternoon or evening? I am hoping it slows down after the rushes in the morning. Is this just wishful thinking? This is a must do, but I hate to miss the time in the morning to do the rides. Thanks!

Met them on Sunday and only waited about 45 minutes. We got in line around 6:00 and they closed the line about 20 minutes later. Was pretty excited about that after hearing about all of the 2+ hour waits.

. This is exactly what I was hoping to hear! So awesome! Anyone else had this experience?

30 minutes tops. It was awesome!! The Disney Gods were smiling on us!!

Was this at the end of the day? We are going on March 23, and I realized the other day that since this is a Sunday and during the F&G Fest I am hoping it's not too busy. I was planning on just trying to be there at rope drop and waiting in line for them, but if we could get in line in the afternoon that might work better. Do they cut off the line if there are too many in it for the end of the day? I'd almost rather do it in the morning and know we'd eventually get in, than chance it and not get in for the kids to meet them. But if we could get in line near the end of the day and have a shorter wait time that makes more sense.

On Monday, by 4, they had closed the line

We had 8am ressies at Akershus this morning. They didn't even let families into the park until 7:45. We were seated around 8am, but didn't see any princesses until after 8:30am.

My husband went to stand in line at 8:45 and we joined him by 9am. We just saw the fourth princess and immediately left. There were many other families who had gotten there same time as us who were still waiting on princesses. I know the family who joined us in line mentioned they left before they got to see Ariel.

The M&G was amazing and they had just restocked a bunch of merchandise, so grabbed an Elsa doll for my daughter and Olaf shirt for my son. By the time we left, people were reporting being told by CMs it was a 5 hour wait. They said yesterday it had gone past six hours in the pouring rain. I would not recommend going without early breakfast ADRs.

Akershus is the only way to get a wait of just one hour it seems - if you get in line at 8, then you still have to wait until 9 when they start meeting. So it's pretty much a minimum 1 hour wait for everyone, unless you happen to get lucky at the end of the evening and hit it when people have just gone home. You can avoid the penalty for Akershus by sending just one person to wait in line while the others eat. You have to be out in the line when it is time for you to go in for your meet though.

No paper tickets.

Only one member of the party has to wait in line. In fact, this is encouraged.

Still astonished that people wait in line for 4-7 hours to meet characters. Of course it is not my thing. I'll say hi to a character if they don't have a line (have some great Goofy pictures) but hours and hours, no way.

I suppose if the rest of your family was still waiting when your turn came up you cod just let others go ahead of you until they all show up?

One person here says that they have let others go ahead of them. No info on exactly how long you will be allowed to wait at the head of the line, without the rest of your party showing up.

My SIL waited 5 hours last Sunday. I told her she was crazy! :crazy2: So glad my DS has absolutely no desire to see them!

the CM will tell you what time meet you will be doing. I think it would be wise that your family should be with you at the time.

In Dec: did rope drop, grabbed Star Bucks & were in the line by around 9:30am, made it for the 11:00am set

Jan:Park opened at 9am, booked it right to Anna & Elsa after a coffee run, made it for 9:15ish, and was in the 11 am set.

Feb: Park opened at 8am for EMH, again, stopped for coffee (not starbucks, figured the wait would be too long) and were in line by around 8:05, made it for the 9am set (when they would start greeting).

So we waited around 2 hours the first time, and around 45 minutes the second.

They now have the girls starting at 9am, and greeting every hour, so the meets are running a little better than at first

Might have been me that said that. I didn't stand at the head of the line. We were second, family wasn't there yet, so I immediately moved back a few spots. Kept moving until I saw my husband and daughter.

They said that on Sunday the ladies met 1200 groups

My friend took her DD to meet Elsa and Anna last week and she waited in line for 4 hours.

Just wondering how long you waited in line?

Anyone on here lucky enough to wait for less than 30 minutes?

We waited about 30 minutes before Frozen was released. It would have been mid November, about a week before the movie came out. We jumped in line after our Akershus lunch reservation. It was 1:35pm and we had finished the meeting by 2:15pm but the girls spent quite sometime with us. (At least 5-7 minutes or so)

Wow, just goes to show - no matter how long we make and the efforts to get there on time, those ladies are working really hard too! As much as it must be lovely to make so many people so happy, I'm not sure I envy those princesses :) I do look forward to saying hi if we can.
