Elisabeth Hasselbeck annoys me!

HERE is the video of last Monday's show. When Rosie brought up that certain shows/journalists said she called the troops terrorists.

She didn't ask EH if she believed that's what she said; she asked her if she saw it on the shows she watches. She went on and on about how the 'troops are terrorists' comment came from the shows EH 'supports'.

See for yourself.

This was also the day she asked Elizabeth if she could hold two thoughts.

They debated using the word terrorists....that our government is brainwashing us with that word. EH and BW were trying to explain that there are, indeed, terrorists in the world.

HERE is the original video where Rosie said what she said about our troops and terrorists; the show that started it all. She starts her terrorist comments at about 6 minutes into the video.

:surfweb: I find it interesting that this thread has gone on for so long & even more so that I keep popping it open to read what's being said. :scratchin
Time to cut to a commercial break.

Amen! Rosie was complaining about EH's "shows" not about EH herself. EH then tried to allow Rosie to explain herself, but that never happened. Where was this whole thing with "I asked you if you thought I said they were terrorists and you didn't answer." I didn't see that on the show.

This was also the day she asked Elizabeth if she could hold two thoughts.

What kind of friend insults the other on national television by saying that she can't hold two thoughts at once? What kind of friend dismisses their friend's beliefs by saying on national television that the other's thoughts are "Republican Crap"? Granted, I've seen YouTube clips with Rosie being incredibly nice and generous to EH, however, I've also seen clips with Rosie simply dismissing EH because she's too young. I think Rosie needs to look in a mirror before saying EH was the one who wasn't a friend.

This thread continues to go on because so many of us are so tired of being told we do not support the troops because we do not support the war. I for one will really miss Rosie and will not watch The View anymore. I support her and her right to speak her feelings on what I thought was a show on different views of different women. Too bad that came to an end.

Exactly!

She said that perhaps the Iraqi people view our country as terrorists. That's a completely different statement from "I believe our troops are terrorists" which is was some people are claiming she said.

I think rescue is the wrong word. And Rosie never said the troops were terrorist, what she said was how do you think the Iraqi people look at us, trying to get people to realize that other people see the U.S. differently.

I never heard where Rosie said how the Iraqi people look at us...what I heard was "655,000 people dead, who are the terrorists?"

Although its hard to hear much, while I like Rosie, she does have a big mouth and its often hard to hear anyone over her. I do think Rosie took the "coward" way out by leaving early. There is a poll on USWeekly.Com, which I heard on the news that says 70% of people actually back EH. Can't prove it, again I saw/heard it on the news.

I just watched it twice..she most certainly did ask her ( EH) if she thought Rosie said the troops were terrorists! EH beat around the bush ( no pun intended :rotfl: ) and did NOT answer. After all, on one side~~ her friend Rosie ~on the other a State dinner with Bush and the queen....:scared:

I'm not disputing anything. I'm providing video clips for folks to see for themselves what happened.

Well, this just goes to show that two people can see the same thing yet see something totally different.

I saw that on Monday's show she asked EH if she saw what 'her shows' were saying about what Rosie said. How they were twisting her words.

I saw that on Wednesday's show she asked EH if she really believed that is what she meant by what she said about terrorists.

Oh well. No biggie. The videos are there for all to see and decide for themselves.

I so agree with this!!!

Is there some reason you don't believe the transcript? I'm not :woohoo: I'm just sincerely curious as to why

I just watched Monday's video again because I wanted to be sure that we didn't see something different and you are correct. She did ask EH once and then they both kept talking and they got side tracked and she never answered it that day.

She then asked her again on Wednesday as well as we all know by now.

Sorry!

I just got done watching the clip from 5/21 also. She never answered her, just all that double talk. I think she is afraid of upsetting her boyfriend, George.

Rosie was hurt. She was BEGGING Elisabeth to just come out and admit that what the Fox people (that EH defends to hell and back as being "fair and balanced") were misrepresenting her views.

If you reduce it to high school friendship level, basically what happened is Elisabeth is stuck on being accepted by the "cool group" (Hannity et al), which spend a good amount of their time making fun of and lying about Elisabeth's friend Rosie. Rosie finally gets fed up enough to want ask for the record if Elisabeth agrees with the people who are saying unfair things about her. Elisabeth then says "You're on your own - don't drag me into this."

When your friend is hanging out with the people spreading lies about you... and then won't contradict their lies... what do you do?

Elisabeth wants to have it both ways -- decorate cupcakes and giggle about the kids with Rosie on The View, and go on FoxNews and suck up to the same people who are savaging her. A simple "We disagree on politics and I think she's 100% wrong on most issues, but Rosie's a great person and my friend" would have been fine. The problem is... Fox only needed Elisabeth because it was a way to get to Rosie. So that was not acceptable to them, and she knew it. If she wants to play at their house, the price is stabbing a friend in the back. The fact that it was so easy for her says all you need to know about her character.

I find it interesting that EH's big point on WED's show was that Rosie needed to defend her own comments. Well she did on MON's show. She looked directly into the camera and said "I do not believe our troops are terrorists. I want our troops to come home. I want our government to take care of our troops.....". And no, on Monday, Elisabeth did not answer the question. But she did on Wednesday.

Was that before or after Rosie asked who the terrorists were? If she was not implying "we" were the terrorists, who did she mean?
