Did I hear Soledad O'Brien's name floated around before? I always liked her on Weekend Today (I don't watch her CNN show though). Or maybe even Connie Chung (if she doesn't pick up her hubby Maury's habit of doing nothing but "babydaddy" shows!)

I really enjoyed Soledad of Weekend Today also. She would be an interesting candidate.

According to a New York Post report, O'Donnell's chief writer, Janette Barber, was allegedly led out of the building on Wednesday after she was caught drawing mustaches on photographs of Hasselbeck in "The View" studios. ABC executives didn't return repeated calls for questions on the incident Friday.

It was reported in page 6 the gossip portion of the post, very reliable tabloid , it was also said on many of the talk shows this was NOT a confirmed report. it was later reported it was one picture and it was a newspaper pic or mag pic not a permanant picture framed on a wall.

I do think that is part of it and I also believe maybe for EH it was the last straw. Ro has insulted and talked down to her a few times before this fight and calling her a coward seemed to be the final straw; maybe she decided to fight back for once and not put up with the name calling.

Yes, the question to Elizabeth was along the lines of "Do you think that I believe our troops are terroists?" (I have it TIVO'd, if you have any questions about it. ) And all Elizabeth was trying to do was to clarify to Rosie that ROSIE should take the opportunity to clarify what she meant. And then Rosie gets all upset that Elizabeth is treating her like a 6 year old, because she (Rosie) doesn't need anyone to tell her that.

The show didn't start out 10 years ago as a political show...it's a show about the views of different generations of women, and these are the women now representing that. Not saying that any one of them represents all women of each age group, of course. If you want people on the show who can better represent each political side, it sounds to me like a totally different show...a point/counter-point type of political show.

I find it very difficult to listen to the opinions of anyone who barks it at me. They all start to sound like the adults in a Charlie Brown TV show.

Thank you for this post. Amen to what you said! Rosie is only second idiot to Joy being the first. Elizabeth does very well standing up to the two of them tag-teaming her. You could tell she was worried about it getting out of hand but she said what she said from her heart. When Rosie said "i'm done elizabeth, i won't fight with you anymore" and then you hear joy say "then i will, let me". They are all entitled to their individual opinions but this show was never meant to be a political roundtable discussion. When i watch this show, i want to hear about the latest movie premiere, the stars, the star gossip, etc. If i want to hear this crap, i'll watch one of the many (too many) political shows meant for that type of "debate". Another Amen for Rosie not returning. Now tell me who the coward is.

I've watched the view from the first season, long before Rosie was a part of it. I admit she made it interesting, but more often than not, i would walk away in a worse mood than when i started. She's controlling and demanding and barbara only has herself to blame for letting her take over the way she did. heck, i'd even rather have Starr Jones back at this point! And i LIKED rosie back in the old days, just not after seeing her on the View.

The escourted from the building was part of the tabloid report. Im sure left the building after the show as shes rosies personal writter and there is no need for her to be there is rosie is not there anymore. The same report had her destroying her dressing room , that was incorrected as well.

Although I think that Elisabeth is a nit whit, I have to admit, she held her own with Rosie. Rosie seemed out of it almost. She looked defeated, hurt, tired. Elisabeth has obviously been coached by the right wingers she represents. She doesn't have an original thought in that spacey head of hers. I will say that the View is much better this year than it ever was. The title of the show is The View and replacing Meredith she was the one to lead the show. People were always complaining cause of what she said and again he was her View. I believe Rosie when she said that it all changed on Monday and I saw those 3 shows, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and it really appeared as though something happened and something was different. Also, what happened with the split screen did appear to be "Jerry Springerish" and they pulled other things like that like contacting Kelly Ripa when Rosie said something about her put her on the show and didn't tell anybody. It was all about ratings and I believe they wanted to squeeze as much out as they could. I think it went to a new low when they did the split screen AND the way that Liz was acting was kinda strange to me. As far as Janette I believe it was her way of defending Rosie, something that Liz couldn't do for whatever reason, everybody knew and if they didn't they ought to pay attention that Rosie said nothing about the troops being terrorists, she just asked a question. Not sure if I will watch the View again, wonder who will want to go to work there after the Star and Rosie thing, they better have an out in their contract.
