I'm so excited!! I just ordered tix for my family to go see this show next week. I debated it over all last night because it's expensive but I found a BOGO code and decided that we need a family night out.

My dd wants to see that sooo bad. Where did you find the bogo code?

My DS and I love watching Elf (all year round!) and we keep joking about dropping everything and going to New York to see the musical. Please let us know how it was after you see it!

I was thinking of getting tickets to Elf, but wound up getting tickets for Lion King. It looks like it will be a great show, post a review after you see it. Have fun!

Hi krcit,
That is a great deal. :woohoo: Have a wonderful time and please be sure to let us know how it was. :thumbsup2

The bogo deal is on Broadwaybox and it is only for performances through Sat the 13th. I don't think matinees are included either.

irsihprincess, let me know how it is! I was going to go Wed night b/c the kids are off Thurs but it's my mom's b-day so I went with Sat instead:cool1:

I loved it. Great music and the cast is terrific. My one issue would be that some of my favorite scenes from the movie didn't make it into the show. If my family didn't love the movie so much, I think the musical would have been even better for us.

Thanks.
Which scene didn't make it?

I know we love the movie!!!!!!

Thanks.

Off the top of my head, the one I missed the most was the shower scene with Baby, It's Cold Outside. My kids really missed the Buddy drunk in the mailroom scene and the character of the little person who Buddy thinks is actually an elf.

We saw it Sat. night and really enjoyed it! My 9 year old was sad that they didn't have the burping scene, lol. He really liked it the best out of all of us but even my 15 year old dd was amused. It was a nice kick off to the holiday season even though we stupidly drove in and what should be a 45 minute drive took 2 hours and 15 minutes:scared1: Luckily we left here early enough that we made it to the theater with 10 minutes to spare:thumbsup2

ugh... glad you made it on time!! NYC traffic ..... My DH has to leave 2 hours before he is scheduled to get in on time if it is peak traffic!!

Can someone please comment on the seating? I'm looking to go Saturday night with my gf and the left Orchestra costs $137 while Mezzanine is considerably less. Are one of the front row side Orchestra seats worth the extra money or is the Mezzanine view good enough? Thanks

Oh so jealous!!!! I was a good daughter and got my parents tickets for Mary Poppins for Christmas! :cutie:

We were right side mezzanine Row A. My dh was on the end(right) and he said he couldn't see a couple of things but I could see fine. We had 5 seats. I would think middle mezz would be fine. I had a choice of Fri or Sat and I picked sat b/c I wanted Row A so that my little guy wouldn't have to sit behind someone. Good luck!

We're going to see it next month.:santa:
Didn't get any discount on the tickets though.
