Oh we have a naughty elf...kind of funny that our elf is so naughty seeings that the elf is supposed to encourage good behavior! :upsidedow

But alas, we are running out of ideas. Anyone else have a "naughty" elf that can share some suggestions? Our elf has done the following:
Spilled the Cheerios in the pantry
Got into the kids panty drawer and tried on a pair
Toilet papered the bathroom
Ate a bunch of candy and left the wrappers all over the kitchen
Got into the refrigerator and drank (and spilled) some milk

We need some more suggestions please. :flower3:

BTW: Our kids squeal with delight every morning....it has been so much fun!

Our elf (Snitch) made cookies last night and left the dirty bowl in the sink and flour spilled on the counter. I wonder if Santa puts up with this kind of behaviour back at the North Pole?:lmao:

:rotfl: That is such a good idea....and I LOVE the name your kids chose..."Snitch" how apropo!
Ours is named "Frosty"...:confused3

We're totally running out of ideas also. Ours isn't as naughty, but some we've done:
Riding a barbie bike around
colored a picture
hanging from the dining room lamp
rolled himself in toilet paper in the bathroom
Ate a new christmas cookie we just made

My kids expect something creative and funny every day, and I'm running out of locations and ideas. Maybe some others can post what they've done as well?

How about using those soap crayons on the car? Or if it is warm enough...sidewalk chalk outside? Filling a closet with balloons? Turning all the laundry inside out? I could go on and on, LOL.

Sounds like a tradition I will not be participating in! Last thing I need in my house is a naughty elf making messes----I have kids to do that!!!!:scared1:

That sounds like soooooooooo much fun. A friend had suggested elf on a shelf last year & I wish I remembered. I'll be sure to get one for next year.

Hiding all the presents, taking all the ornaments and putting them all together on the tree, make a tent in the living room with blankets, make it "snow" in the house by having cotton balls all over; just to name a few ideas.

Well, we have two elves, Carissa and Daniel. Some of the out of the ordinary things they have done this year are, taking nine of DD's stuffies, tying them together "reindeer" style and putting a box behind them with stuffed Santa in the "sleigh" with Santa holding the reigns! Ours our naughty, but they do nice things too, not just messy things. They set the dining room table. Each of the four places had a dinner plate, a salad plate, a bowl, a nicely folded napkin, fork, knife, and spoon and a glass. DD really got a kick out of that one, because we aren't really quite that formal when we eat dinner! The following night they were more mischevious. They stacked the plates and bowls into a tall tower. Dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, dinner plate, salad plate, bowl and so on, it was quite precarious! They also toilet papered the Christmas tree (DD said it was because we hadn't placed our elf ornaments on the tree yet!) One morning DD woke up to find her 5 best baby dolls (Ashton Drake), in a circle, having a "tea party", crumpets and all! The possibilities with the elves are endless, it is so much fun. I fear this is the last year for DD though, and that is going to make me sad!

My Mom just got it for my daughters this weekend so we have only had it for a few days. We still don't have a name though, we have to work on that today!

Hmmmm....maybe I need to go re-read the book, because our elf just moves around the house each night and finds a new place to hide. Not once did I think that the elf was supposed to wreak havoc on the house :rotfl: :rotfl:

Haha, I saw it at Barnes & Nobles this weekend. I didn't know what it was, but now that I do, I kind of want one. It sounds like a lot of fun, but I don't have kids :(

Bummer...I don't think my boyfriend would appreciate it :rotfl:

Ours do not make much of a mess, because the kitties would get into it! But they do move around and do funny things, and sometimes leave little gifts. Some of the things they have been found/will be found doing this year are:

listening to my iPod
playing cards (with a new deck for DS to keep)
staring hungrily with their noses pressed up to the container of gingerbread
on their bellies drawing a picture with DS's crayons
sleeping all tucked in under a blanket
playing soccer with a super ball
writing a "Dear Boss" letter to Santa
tangled in scotch tape after they wrapped a small present

These are great I have to try something like this tonight, my daughter will love that.

Last night Alvin unrolled the paper towel and wrapped it around the tree. The kids thought that was funny, especially since I blamed them for it.

Last year he hung their underwear on the tree, turned all of their pictures upside down, and toilet papered all of the ceiling fans.

These are all great ideas! I did the Barbie bike thing the night before last and last night the elf got into the Moose Munch (caramel popcorn) and spilled the box all over the counter. The kids LOVED it. (My 5 year old was kind of mad that the elf stole her Barbie bike but she got over it).

I think I might do the ceiling fan thing or the dish stacking thing tonight. I am so excited!

Someone before mentioned they needed to go back and read the book because they don't remember seeing where it said the elf is naughty. It doesn't say it....I just made ours naughty because we like to play jokes on each other. But I am happy to learn that others out there are like us too!

I don't have an elf either, but it sounds cute! I want one!
Anyway, we don't have an elf but leprechauns always visit and they pee in the toilet and turn the water green! My kids talk about it all year! They dye the milk green too but only after I've dumped some in a separate pitcher. Everyone complains that green milk tastes strange!

Otto arrived last night at my house. I must say I like the plush elf better. He's more agile!! I think I hear him wreaking havoc right now..............
