Elephant Ears & Cotton Candy Avail?

I know I have seen cotton candy - I think you can get it at Goofy's Candy Shop. I have not seen elephant ears though. They used to have Beaver Tails at Epcot, but they are gone. Hmmmm, I am thinking they have belgian waffles though?

Fresh cotton candy is made in two places that I know of - the candy shop on Main St. in MK and at the candy store in Downtown Disney. It is available for sale in packages elsewhere.

There is no elephant ear place, but are two pretzel places in Downtown Disney and Marketplace. They sell cinnamon sugar covered pretzels.

They're not made with Whole Wheat are they?

The cotton candy sold in MK (at the candy shop on Main St.) is the BEST cotton candy!

:thumbsup2 I'll second that...and so will my dentist. :teeth:

I think that elephant ear in France is more like a cookie than the elephant ears you get at your local fair.. I thought I heard someone say there was a booth at the boardwalk that was selling them.. I think they would fit in at ToonTown since its kind of like a fair..

 If you can stand a "funnel cake" instead, they have them in front of the American Adventure in Epcot - I have never had one from there, but I've seen many people walking with a freshly made one from the cart looking for a place to sit and enjoy - some with powdered sugar all down their fronts! :goodvibes :

Funnel Cake with sugar $4.50

-- add vanilla ice cream $1.75

-- add fruit $1.00

-- add chocolate sauce $.50

We just got back Saturday and I made 4 trips (yes 4) to France for elephant ears and was dissappointed every time. They told me they still make them, but not nearly everyday like everything else... I LOVE those things...

Can someone explain the difference betweeen elephant ears and funnel cakes??? Thanks!!!

What I remember an elephant ear being when I was a kid and what others consider an elephant ear may be two completely different things. But the ones I had when I was a kid were large, round, flat, crunchy pastries with cinnamon sugar on them. They sorta looked like the ear of an elephant, and were my absolute favorite treat from the local bakery. I'm guessing you know what a funnel cake is (or as we call them here in Wisconsin - "Cow Pies"), so I won't go into detail with that. But I think the main difference is that cow pies are puffy and soft while elephant ears are flat and crispy.

Thanks! I don't think I've ever had an elephant ear. I'll put it on my list of new things to try.
