Electronic Shaver: carry-on or checked baggage?

Leaving in less than 24 hours. We are clearing customs at Toronto (Pearson) Terminal 3.

Wondering if I should hand-carry my electronic shaver, or leave it in the checked baggage?

I heard that all electronics should be carry-on?
