I dont know if anyone can help me, but I have a question.
I've lived here for 5 years and really never thought about this, but now I'm thinking....
We do not have any outlets outside. We have a light fixture on the porch. What I usually do is use a screw in converter to make the light bulb socket an electric outlet. The "Maximum Watts" it says to use in the bulb is 60watts. But since I'm converting it to an electric outlet, I'm wondering if it's safe to use a few strands of Christmas lights in the outlet that would probably be about 150Watts total. (6 strands of lights at 25 watts each) I think I read somewhere that the 60 watt caution is really for having one hot light and if it's dispenced over tiny christmas lights it will be OK.
Anyone know?
THANKS!
