It is a terribly hard job but one I am willing to take on for the sake of my EWP Suite mates.

'Nuff said.New or someone who didn't want to post under their regular user name??? Food for thought.Luvamouse said:I wouldn't be so hasty there, Poly Rules. With only 2 posts to your name right now, you shouldn't have such vast experience in how the DIS board tears people apart'Nuff said.

bicker said:What's really funny is that is really isn't worth trucking all the way up to the Poly from the All-Star resorts to see the Electrical Light Pagent. We had it drift by our room at the Wilderness Lodge six times in January, and didn't bother even point it out to the kids. It's a nice-to-see if it happens to be going by when you're outside, but surely not something worth going out of your way to see.
Regarding Wishes, you're better off watching it from inside the Magic Kingdom. It's, again, a nice-to-see if you happen to already be at the Poly (perhaps having dinner) but it is no where near worth the trip just to see Wishes from a half-mile away.
Now see....we much prefer watching it from the Poly or especially the WL. Just the ambience. I don't think we've ever had more than a dozen people viewing it with us and there were times we had the beach to ourselves. At the WL we like to get comfy in the lounge chairs on the beach and sit back and relax, soaking up the atmosphere of the resort. Also it's free admission to view it from the beach......A few nights they were in the pool and didn't even care to look at it. Although you can see the fireworks from the beach, it's so much nicer to see
it closer.
If someone is going to travel from the All stars, you might as well go to MK, it's right there with a better view.

The resort welcomes not only diners, but those who wish to shop at the resort as well. We came in one time just for that reason. As for viewing of the EWP.....I have never witnessed any crowds or the inability for resort guests to view the parade due to a handful (if that) of non resort guests watching the parage ? I've also never seen any indication where AKL guests couldn't get a view of the animals because of non-resort guests ? We're frequent diners at Boma and always set some time aside to check out the animals. I've never seen that many people "blocking" views or whateverSurely, folks with dining reservations warrant a three-hour pass, but why allow anyone else through? This is a major security concern, and clearly is also a source of concerns by guests with regard to the value of the premium rates they're paying. While I would regret not being able to visit AKL to see the animals and regret being unable to bring some family members to my other home at WL to see the wonderful atrium, I think security and value for price paid trump my desire to have these freebies.
I don't see why this is even an issue ? Disney welcomes guests to their resorts----it often means extra revenue in the way of dining, shopping or perhaps a future guest at the resort.Sorry, I wasn't clear about what I was saying before. I was saying that that open-door policy is a security problem, and evidently also raises value-concerns on the part of guests. That's why I wonder why the policy hasn't changed. Security, alone, should be enough to make it change. The resort welcomes not only diners, but those who wish to shop at the resort as well.
