Electrical outlets on the Magic

For those who have cruised on the Magic recently - do they have outlets next to the beds (similar to the Dream/Fantasy) or is it like the Wonder, with outlets behind the tv? Not sure if there were updates done after the dry dock.

Yes ther are outlets next to bed. We were on Wonder in Jan and there were outlets next to bed too,

Seems to me they were 2 prong European on the Magic next to the bed.

I think it depends on the cabin. On my Aug 2013 trip.... my Wonder Deck 2 oceanview did NOT have outlets near the bed.

• 2 outlets at the desk
• 2 behind the TV. Needed to unplug TV and Wave phone charger
• 2 outlets in the washroom

With powerbar/powerstrip restrictions.... I would be bringing affordable power taps and multi-outlet USB chargers on future cruises.

I was on the Magic in June 2015 and in our cabin there were outlets next to the bed. I coud fit my European plug in there, but they looked like a US plug would fit as well. I remember that I talked to one of the officers at the Captain reception about how much I liked those new outlets that seem to let so many more people use the outlets without having to bring adapters.

I think it depends on the cabin. On my Aug 2013 trip.... my Wonder Deck 2 oceanview did NOT have outlets near the bed.

The Wonder got cabin upgrades in spring 2015, so things could very well have changed since then. I haven't been on her since 2014 either. But that is why people who were there after spring 2015 might report on outlets next to the bed.

This has been a help. I was hoping that I would not need to use one of the disney supplied extension cords. When we sailed on the Wonder in 2014, had that long cord running under the bed.

On our 2015 Wonder cruise, there were outlets on either side of the bed (they were standard US two prong outlets, although they looked like they could accept the European two prong plugs also):
