Does disney still do this? And if they do, can you watch it if you are not staying at one of the properties along the lagoon? We are staying at POR.

We were staying at POFQ and watched from the beach at the Polynesian after eating dinner at Ohana. We loved it.

Love the Electric Water Pageant. You don't have to stay at a resort on the lagoon to watch it.I've stayed at the GF and the Poly six times combined and I never miss the EWP. It really brings out the kid in me.

Last year, we were heading back to the GF in a launch when the EWP started. Our boat captain took the opportunity to tell us that the pageant has been going strong for 40 years every night. He said that even on 9/11 when the theme parks were closed, the marine department---I forget the exact name of their group---decided that on such a sad occasion, the pageant should continue its tradition and would make everyone feel a little comforted. So even on that tragic night, the barges full of lights illuminated the lagoon and many, many guests from the Poly and GF were watching from the shore.
