Electric Parade Viewing Location

My son has made it very clear that the ONLY parade he wants to see is the Electric Parade, and we don't have a fastpass for it.

I was wondering if someone could help me out with what a good location will be, knowing that we won't really be able to lineup and reserve a spot ahead of time (I would say not more than half an hour). With a 4 year old and a 21 month old.

Thanks!

You do not say what time of year you are going. If you are going at a less crowded time, and not during the busy holiday times, and don't want to wait more than a half hour, you may get lucky if you try Frontierland, which can be less crowded. I would think Main Steet will probably be crowded by then.

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents, or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears. (But, from those locations you won't be able to see the spectacular, not-to-be-missed show that is actually projected on the front of the Castle, "Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the fireworks.)

Half an hour probably won't be enough for the really good locations (main street for example will start filling up about an hour before the parade). Also you'll have better luck if they're running the parade twice that night and you catch the second parade which usually has less of a crowd. (Which will probably be impossible with a 21 month old, anyway! :D )

I got lucky with a center spot on main street (just to the right of the firehouse looking straight down main street at the castle) as I wasn't aware the MSEP was running twice the first time I ever went to MK. I was just trying to get a nice picture of the castle from main street and was standing right in the center of the sidewalk in front of the flag pole when the CM came by and wrapped the rope around me and I'm like, "Is there another parade?" "Yeah" and I just planted myself in that spot. :)

A less crowded spot is to the left of the castle at the Sleepy Hollow restaurant (just over the bridge at Liberty Town from the castle, on Robo's map you'll see a triangle shaped part of the sidewalk to the left of the castle and right of hall of presidents which is the seating area for Sleepy Hollow - Line up there looking down the bridge. Not too crowded and a good spot to watch the parade. Alternatively, anywhere in Liberty Town on the street is decent for less crowded viewing (compared to main street or the hub)

We waited about 90 min for a spot in front of Casey's corner our first trip, we had a double stroller and got food form Casey's, kept kids entertained and they did ok. Second time we didn't plan on seeing it, and the second parade started just as we walked out of the Christmas ornament store near the Tiana meet and greet, they marked off the route so be sat down. It was an amazing experience there, it was not crowded and so many characters waved or came uo to my kids.

We're going the week before thanksgiving and theres only 1 night we'll be able to see them. Thanks for all your thoughts! !!
