I was wondering what the latest is on whether or not FW is allowing guests to ride the electric scooters. DH bought me one a few months ago, as a surprise, because due to health I am no longer able to ride my bike with them. We have always taken our bikes to FW, and all other campgrounds, and enjoyed very much riding them together. We have rented a golfcart for our upcoming Christmas trip, but $421.74 seems like alot to just get us from point A to point B. I'm exploring other options. One, we are looking for a used cart & hauler. It's not that we mind so much to spend the money, we'd just like to get more for it. The other would be if I'm allowed to ride my scooter, and DH & DS could continue to ride their bikes. If I'm going to be able to ride my scooter, I really need to get out there and learn how first. :p We try very hard to avoid controversy, so if there is a chance that FW will have a problem with this, I will scrap the idea. I would appreciate any recent experiences. :) Sorry so long, but I thought a little background may be necessary here.

I think anything electric is allowed ... including some reallly cool custom carts. Quiet and reasonably safe.

Gas powered is more of a grey area ... again I think just about anything reasonable will pass. The rules don't seem to be an issue unless you really push the envelope.

I think you will be fine ... the key being you are responsible adults with good intentions.

Have a great time.

We take our 2 wheel electric scooters alll the time! Disney does not have a problem with them. I also see a lot of other people riding theirs.

I think the "controversy" over scooters is when the children ride them. The kids are not permitted to drive a golf cart unless they are 16 and alot of kids ride these scooters and zip all over the place. The drive quite dangerously IMO. Just call FW directly (407-824-2900) and ask the front desk about the policy. If you are riding it I am sure it won't be an issue one way or another!

Thanks guys for the encouraging info. :) We may just go that route. Now I just have to get myself out there and learn how to ride it, so I won't be driving dangerously. :p
