Yea, my boyfriend's done it a few times, and they kept breaking, so it takes some practice before you can do it properly.

i wouldent even know how to do that i mean i guess it sounds like u just twist the rubberbands around the pencil so all the strings stay down but i think i will just buy one

Have you ever searched something by punching your fist into the keyboard? Yeah it doesnt work and then you need to buy a new keyboard so dont try it.

no it wasnt you said what does youtube not have and gave you the idea of punching your keyboard to see if that was there and it probably wasnt there...lol

im really not a fan of capos lol... thats too much "cheating" haha... although they DO make a lot of things easier.. but yea, power chords/bar chords in drop D are really fun and really easy.. rediculously easy actually.. but i agree with STWolfe when he said that playing real chords are more favorably.. its simply because thats the "proper" way to play, so it helps you improve.. not to mention that real chords usually DO sound better and fuller than bar chords

i dont think im getting what ur saying because u dont need a capo to play all bar chords and sometimes the song was originaly writen with bar chords such as im yours or smoke on the water both use bar chords so im thinking u meant something diffrent but i havent figured out what xD

haha i dont blame you.. i wrote that really quick and didnt put much thought into it..

i had like 3 different topics in that 1 post lol... heres the break down

1) i dont like capos
2) bar chords are fun and easy
3) chords are probably more beneficial for you to play because they help you improve


yea.... the capo thing had nothing to do with anything else in my post XD.. just wanted to state my opinion on them in general haha

I use capos because it is one of the only ways to get a clean higher sound. And its fun to put on...lol

I ordered like... 5 guitar books and a ton of piano books, and I really don't want to wait for them, because I got a Led Zeppelin one, and I really want to learn to play Houses Of The Holy.

i know how to play the main riffs on all of those songs haha... im just chipping away and trying to learn the rest (the boring parts haha) of them just so i can say i can play them lol

i know i love to learn to play the cool parts the finger picking stuff that makes it sound cool but i hate trying to get the rythm and strum patterns and stuff

I'm unable to play Stairway To Heaven, because theres always someone in the room with me while I play guitar, and as a joke, my cousin made a sign that says "NO STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN" and when theres someone in the room, they always point to the sign, so I'll start laughing, and it's just an epic fail.
