I think my fingers agree that I hate that B flat 7 chord or whatever that was!

Gah. Such. A. Pain.

haha i was in texas for the past week, so sorry for my absense... sooo what songs is everyone learning?

im attempting the end solo of sidewinder from A7X .... i highly doubt ill get it, but its pretty fun to learn

i listen to so much classic rock that i scare myself sometimes.
there was a time that i hadn't listened to any new music for like months...
nothing on my ipod is after 93'.
i know, scary right?

Hey power monkey a really simple song to learn is otherside by the RHCP.
pm me if you want to know how to play it.

I suggest you get the Hal Leonard guitar books it really teaches you the steps of learning in the right way and the way that won't you get frustrated at the start. I suggest since you are just starting out and your fingers and tips aren't used to the rigors of guitar positioning and placement just practice up to 1 hour per day. Star with the basic chords and do a lot of reps on each chord then when you get down a few chords try chord changes and add more and more as you go along. Then move onto notes and fingering. You will be playing in no time.

twinks: haha! that is a bit alarming XD ... but very respectable!! most of the mainstream modern stuff is crap anyways lol.. classics are timeless

football: thanks for the heads up! ill definitely check it out.. and nah, its easier for me to just search up tabs and play it.. thanks for the offer though! :)

Em: thanks for the advice! and yea, my fingers are already calussed up and ready to play.. im pretty decent at chord progression too.. right now, im trying to work on my fingering speed though... im trying to play some syn gates solos XD

No problem. Speed comes with practice and confidence. It will come. Good Luck

I will have to check that book out

It is a great place to start and it teaches you the basic so you are able to progress at your own speed.
