yea it's not very easy. I first tried when I was in 8th grade with some friends, it started off good but then 2 of my friends moved away about a month later.
I'm in a band now and it takes a lot of time and effort.
1. you have to find people that can actually play well
2. not only do they have to play well, but they all have to get along really well with eachother too
wow with there only being therr or four people on this thread it needs constant bumpage sooo *bump* *bump* *bummpity* *bump* *bump* there now that thats done has anyone heard more by matthew west if u have at the biggining of the song and in other part its sounds a little diffrent can anyone tell me if that is a whammy bar or a distortion pedal?

I've played off and on for a while now. My dad plays really well and I've just been able to barely play. Now we're doing it in our music theory class (we're all seniors so he can't get us to do ANY work) and I am LOVING it. We have about 5 or 6 guitars in my house (2 electric the rest are acoustic). So I'm having a lot of fun learning everything.
Plus next year I'm going to college for music education (voice) and we also learn to play all the instruments so I'm looking forward to that because I already play quite a few.

to me, it sounds like high reverb with vibrato.. but im sure there are sound effect pedals out there than can match that sound
Tinker Tracey: thats awesome! haha, my friends in music theory absolutely love it.. and yea, its amazing how many instruments music theory students can learn... very rewarding major... annnnd... i think you should send me one of those 6 guitars XD
I played at a battle of the bands on saturday and my band played:
Still Waiting-Sum 41
Never Too Late- Three Days Grace
Smells Like Teen Spirit- Nirvana
