Hello, I could really use some help in planning a food budget for Jan 15, 6 nights, outside disney grounds. 2 adults and a 15 yr old and a 3 1\2 yr old. We will have a fridge and micro in room.
We are all great lovers of buffets!! I will whip up breakfast in the hotel room. Any ideas on how much we could reasonably expect to spend on lunch and dinner for 6 days? I would like to do at least one character meal. Any suggestions for reasonable resturants to eat in. We are staying in Lake Buena Vista.

Thanks so much for your help!!

Lisa

http://www.couponsalacarte.com/orlando/index.htm - for coupons. We liked Jungle Jims, and they have a website with their menu.

There are some great threads about saving money doing your own food, so I won't get into that aspect. My best advice for in the parks is go to www.wdwig.com for menus. At Boulangerie Patisserie in Epcot you can get a ham and cheese croissant for $2.95. Cosmic Rays in MK has a chicken and potatoes meal that feeds 3-4 for $16.00. Tony's is one of the best priced character meals. If you do a character b-fast, the connections vouchers are a good deal for adults now that there's been a price increase. They're $17.50 and include tax and gratuity. Some of those breakfasts have gone up to $19.99 plus tax and tip, so you can save a few $. For the kids, the vouchers are still a wash.
