I read somewhere that you can request an egg crate topper for the pull out couch at Kidani. Anyone have experience with this? Or is this internet fake news? This is our first time staying in a 1BR (instead of a 2BR) and I'm hoping my kids will be ok on the pull out for a week.

The egg crates that housekeeping may have are those left behind by other guests. Disney neither stock them not guarantee them.

I would expect you cannot get them right now. They cannot be washed on high heat.

This makes way more sense to me! It felt like an odd request which is why I knew someone here would have actual experience. Thank you!

If your kids are younger, they won't know the difference. If they are much older, like late 20's, they might not find them comfortable, but they will survive. If they complain, ask them if they would like to go home instead?

Kidani did have egg-crate mattress pads (pre-covid, at least), I called housekeeping for one in Jan 2020 and was able to get it with no issue....made the pullout mattress pretty comfy, too.

This was pre-covid, though, and _auroraborealis_ has an excellent point about them not being washable so I’m not sure I’d risk it.

If you think you’ll need one you could always have a new one shipped directly to Kidani and leave it behind when you head home.

The mattress on the sleeper sofa at Kidani really was horrible. We stayed there last month. At Poly my husband and I fought over who got the sofa bc it was comfortable and meant that we didn’t have to sleep with the kids. At Kidani was took turns suffering on it lol.

Thank you SO MUCH for posting this! I had the same question!

These are usually ones left behind by previous guests who brought them with them /ordered them to be delivered. Not sure if you want to use a “used” one.

I mean do you use the bed? It's not different and even better since they have been used so little. You still put sheets over the bed.

Had requested one the only time we stayed at AKV without issue and when looking at it looked in great condition.

You seem much more dedicated to your kids then I am. My kids (ages 17, 20 & 21) will be lumping it on the sofa bed. No way in the world are my wife & I sleeping on that!

We were recently at Bwv and requested a foam topper and housekeeping thought we lost our minds. No such thing available, even if we said egg crate. They brought an extra mattress cover. We’ll bring our own next time. We used the pull out at HH, OKW & Bwv and all were hard and uncomfortable
