Effects of Late EMH on park attendance?

Has anyone been to the parks with the new late EMH to notice how it might affect attendance during the day? I know morning EMH parks tended to be more crowded on their respective days, but I'm wondering if late EMH are having the same affect. Anyone notice any difference?? TIA! :flower:

I'm curious too! We've been planning not to go on any of the EMH days (early or late), but we've been wondering if we actually should consider it at least for MK.

I want to know too...but while we're waiting for someone to tell us :smooth: , here's something I've been thinking about: many have said they do another park during the day and hop over to the EMH evening park that night. Would that mean that the evening EMH park would be less crowded during the day than the morning EMH park? There's another thing to consider though...some will elect not to pay for the park hopping option, which would mean they would have to do the evening EMH park all day...Perhaps these 2 strategies will cancel each other out?? :confused3

Won't be going until june, but I was guessing that the EMH parks would be busier on those days. I have a 4 and 6 year old and was kind of thinking that they might be too tired to stay out so late anyway. We're going in June and all the parks except AK are open to 9 or 10 or so. I thought we'd only do the AK on the late EMH, but do all the early EMH's and then leave after 3 hours or so. Hope my plan works! Getting worried about my well being with all my stressing and obsession with this disney trip. :rotfl2:

The Unofficial Guide lists any park with EMH(both morning and night) as a park to stay away from.

Based on this, I'll go to a different park, and at night, if I have the energy, head on over to the EMH park(maybe once or twice).

Does anyone know how much later the Magic Kingdom is open with EMH when the normally scheduled time is 9:00??

We're only doing 1 day at the Magic Kingdom on April 28th (leftover day on Hopper Passes), but we're thinking of changing it to the 27the because of the extended hours. The Disney site says "up to 3 hours later" It would mean staying on Disney property vs the Hampton Inn so I'd hate to pay the extra and only have the park stay open for 1 hour.

Would they really stay open until Midnight?

So the general public can't ride after 9:00, no matter what??

happyclam...If MK normal closing is 9pm and it's an evening EMH there then it will be open until midnight, the shops on Main Street probably awhile after that.

A valid resort I.D. and theme park ticket required. You'll get a wristband that shows you are a resort guest and doing EMH. Wristbands are distributed no earlier than two hours before the park closes.

On the Wednesday following President's Day, regular closing was midnight, EMH was until 3:00am! So, yes they do extend hours very late.

I was at MK on 3/2 and it was very crowded that evening.

Are there any fresh reports of the daytime MK attendance on evening EMH days? I'm trying to decide whether I do Mon/Tue MGM/MK or if I can do Mon/Wed MGM/MK. I'm going in April, and the MK Wed hours are 9am-9pm with evening EMH. I plan on getting to MK at opening time and leave by 2pm. I would prefer not to back-to-back MGM and MK.

Thanks!

Do you care about the Spectro Parade? If you do, it only shows Tuesday, Fri and Sat. At first I was going to do MK at night Wed but I want to see Spectro so I just switched to Tuesday.

Just got back. Stayed for extra 3 hours at both MK and Ak. Both nights the place was empty. Never more than a 15 minute wait. The mornings seemed very empty as well- although the crowds were building by 12ish- as we were leaving for our siesta. MK regular closing hour was 10 so it was opened to 1:00 am. In fact the last rides happen at 1am so we didn't start out until 1:30 am and the shops were still opened. We did have rain and that might have kept people away.

Wow, that is late! I bet the poor CM's are really loving the new EMH plan! :faint:

How do they determine resort guests? Do you show your room key or what?
And then do they put everyone in Tomorrowland land like for MVMCP?

They hand out wristbands at different locations throughout the park. You must show resort ID to receive a wristband. They don't "close" and then re-open. Non-resort guests can continue to stay in the park as well. They just can't ride any of the attractions past the official closing time of the park. When we did the EMH night at MK, they did check our wristbands at all the attractions--even late into the night.

Hope that helps
