EEMH at Hollywood Studios

Well our big trip is coming up in 9 days!!! My family and I have been getting all set. I was just wondering if anyone has experience with EEMH at Hollywood Studios? We plan to check out Toy Story Land first and then venture out into the rest of the park and maybe check out GE later. Do we get into a different line/entrance if we don’t wanna go straight to GE?

No. If GE is too busy, they'll indicate that you have to get "boarding passes" and you'll be notified when they're ready for you. We were there last week and it was open the entire week (Aug 31 through Sep 5) - no need to do this. In the morning, until about 11-ish, the lines for Smuggler's Run was around 30 minutes and then it picked up to about 90 minutes later in the day. I don't know to what extent Dorian was responsible for this, but if it's busy, the only entrance they manage is into GE itself, not the park.

Same experience, was there last week as well. On Sept 1st, the first EEMH, we got up and were at DHS at about 5:20. We were let through the turnstiles and stopped at Starbucks. They walked us back (not a minute before 6am). In hindsight, we could have slept in and gone at 8am and stood in a 15-25 minute wait, which is what we did on Thursday. I think the highest wait time I saw last week was 80 minutes, but usually an hour or less. Also, don't know how Dorian affected this.

YES. When you get through the tapstiles, they will have the SWGE folks line up on Hollywood Boulevard (starting at the ticket center, facing the Chinese Theater). Anyone who wants to visit the other part of the park at rope drop will be lined up at the beginning of Sunset Boulevard (immediately to the left of the Starbucks/Trolley Car cafe). The CM's are very good at making sure folks are where they need to be for where they want to start in the park
