We're thinking of doing a quick trip to Disney in December. We were fortunate enough to have already gone to Disney earlier this year, so this is just a bonus trip so we're on quite a budget.

Dilemma: Poly for 3 days (with 4 days offsite) vs. CBR for 6 days (with 2 days offsite).

We've stayed at both resorts several times, but the Poly is a personal favourite. Since the Poly will likely be going through a transformation in the coming years, we thought we'd stay one last time while it's still in its original form. However, IF free dining is released, we're thinking of booking at CBR instead. With 2 adults, it doesn't make economical sense to book free dining at the Poly (we have a room only rate now).

How do we decide, thoughts??

Personally,If I had a chose of the Poly or CBR I would choose the Poly, My reason being It is all together. CBR is too spread out for me. I have stayed a both. Very blessed to be able to stay at the Poly that 1 year. I doubt I'll ever get to stay deluxe again. If you are able to, choose the Poly.

To me on-site is better than off-site. Poly is much better than CBR, but on-site trumps that. YMMV:earsboy:

We've stayed at both and while we loved CBR and staying there would be 6 days vs 3 onsite, the Poly is our favorite of all the resorts we've stayed at, so Poly would be my choice.

I would have to vote for the Poly also. How about a value resort over staying offsite for the remaining days? They aren't much more than a nice hotel offsite.

You really can't even put the two in the same category.. Stayed at both but with the beauty of Poly, convenience of monorail and the hands down best views in all of WDW I'd say Poly all the way..
