We've just been hit by a nasty hail storm, came on really sudden and before it even passed our office was hit with 2 dozen or so calls from tenants who's houses have been damaged in some way.

As I was elbow deep in taking calls, getting details and reassuring tenants I started realising that most of the houses were close to mine... :scared:

Of course as soon as that thought materialised my neighbour called to say that all of the windows down the side of my house are broken

So now while I'm dealing with everyone else's broken windows I've got to sit here and stew about what condition my own house is in... Luckily we haven't had any d*ck head tenants trying to complain that their damage is more urgent then everyone elses, because I'd give them what for! :rotfl:

Not only that, but the storm is still sort of circling and every now and then our lights flicker...

Bloody Mondays...

Oh no Bec

Hope the damage at your place isn't too bad... You don't need anyone else adding to the drama. Thinking of you.

If you think really bad, it might be lots better than you think when you get home.

That's a good idea... I'm waiting for my insurance broker to get back to me to let me know I can organise a repair for when it stops raining, I'm wondering whether I might be able to get away with new carpet too... :rotfl:

Bec - Hope things are okay at home and that you don't have much of a mess to clean up.

Look for the silver lining. As long as all the people are good, the other stuff is just stuff. It can be replaced as annoying as it is.

Oh no Bec, that's terrible. I hope there isn't too much damage!

Oh crap, that sounds bad! Nice of your neighbor. To call though :)

It's not too bad, just 2 broken windows and some other niggly little sh*t.

But my poor decorations!!! I'll post pics later, a before and after shot.

I have to start my decorations all over again. I'm just waiting for them to turn on now to see exactly how bad the destruction is, but I'm expecting no survivors... :sad1:

Aww that's not a nice start to the week!

Glad to hear it's not too bad, bit of a shame you'd already put up your decorations though :sad2:

Happens every year, we even call it the Christmas Decoration Storm. Usually more the 2 days passes before it comes though... :lmao:

It's a Christmas Miracle!! pixiedust:

There are some lights that are gone, some lights that need repair, and all of them need a general tightening up, but over all I'm amazed at how little damage there is, especially considering the amount of bare wires are showing... :lmao:

That's not very nice at all, but it's good that your neighbour called.

Glad to see that your decorations made it through relatively un-scathed!

Yes.....but what about the pick-up??? It seems to have been wiped off the face of the earth!!!

:lmao: Last I heard it was rolling around Bega somewhere... :confused3
